Add GuiltyGearXrd to the User Whitelist

#2
Choose Edit Settings in GeDoSaTo and set the renderResolution you wish to downsample from, the resolution to downsample to (preferably your native res), and whatever else you need.
Unlike -Sign- you do not want to set the override width and height - # that out so the tool ignores it.
(Found further down in settings file normally, edited image to show all at once)

This example is for downsampling from 4k (3840x2160) to 1080p (1920x1080).
#3
Edit the resolution in your REDSystemSettings.ini to match the resolution you wish to downsample from in GeDoSaTo and then save and set the file to Read Only.

The config file can be found in your steam install directory\steamapps\common\GUILTY GEAR Xrd -Revelator-\REDGame\Config\

This example is using the same exact render resolution set via GeDoSaTo (3840x2160) via the ResX= and ResY= lines. If yours is different, match that resolution accordingly.
#4
Launch the game with GeDoSaTo running and activated and see what happens. If successful you will see text in the upper left showing resolutions it is downsampling from and to, and the in game visauls will appear much sharper and cleaner with less aliasing & jagged edges.

Use at your own risk, this guide can not guarantee it will work for you and not break anything.
Make sure you choose a downsample resolution you can hit a solid 60fps with during gameplay.
#Thanks
Thanks to Simatron3000 for his tips to get GeDoSaTo working with -Revelator- and to Revo for the original Xrd -Sign- guide.

Sorry kyokon, this app stopped working properly for me a while back, too.

This was some time after I switched back to nvidia, and I wound up removing gedosato and adding the custom resolution to the drivers instead. This also keeps the steam overlay more functional than the app downsample where everything was offset making mouse clicks nearly impossible.

Seems like it worked, my monitor displays that the resolution changes took effect, but the game is on a small window at the top left of the screen instead.

Thanks this helped now that I have an ultrawide monitor...I just couldn't get it to work right anymore with just adjusting the .ini file.

thx. editing ini didn't do anything but this worked. I was about to refund but damn, this game looks super clean with downsampling.

+1 to Chum's comment "forceAlwaysDownsamplingRes true", doing that step in addition to this guide lets me generate super nice screenshots.

I can't get this to work. Gedosato hooks, but it doesn't downsample it. My display is 1440p, so the only changes I made were whenever this guide had a 1080 I used a 1440. Please send help.

I have a question: Is gedosato able to "upsample" or anything?
My video card died a few weeks ago and since I'm out of money at the moment, I'm using this old GT430. It barely runs the thing, unless it's running on a tiny window in the middle of the screen. That being said, would I be able to fullscreen while rendering at 1024x768 or something like that?
