Subscribe and Enable
The first thing is to have a few subscriptions before launching to see if they show up. You just navigate to the Majesty Gold HD Steam Workshop page, and click the subscribe button on any mods that sound interesting to you. Fear not, you cannot overload with mods, as you can pick and choose which mods you wish to use at any given time, in game.

Any will do, and they can be interacted with in two different places.

Towards the bottom of the screen at the main menu, you can see a Change Mods button.

From this screen you can choose which mods you wish to use for this session. (You must re-enable upon relaunching the game.) You can use this screen to figure if a specific mod is causing any problems when using several. Note, that this screen is for game modifying mods. Maps or quests will not populate here.

The quests can be found here, in the top left hand corner of the map. Downloadable Quests.

From this screen, you can directly launch into a quest you subscribed to on Steam.

And thats it! I hope this guide helps someone else enjoy this game to the fullest.

is there a way to avoid the game deactivating all mods every-time it boots?

You should probably make mention of the fact that the menus for changing and disabling mods *only* show up at certain resolutions [for me, only the one above 800x600]

I reinstalled the game, downloaded the Ardanian Civil War Workshop quest. Shows on the list correctly. Unsubscribed and it was gone.

If this is not the case for you, find your Majesty HD folder on your PC and find the SDK folder. Look for the name of the quest you are trying to remove and delete it. Hope that helps Lad.

How do you remove unsubscribed quests?

It used to be that way before the update went public as the most recent build. Once it released, that because irrelevent. Thats where the confusion originated, many still have this set for beta because they never changed it or never knew the release was public.

Excellent, cheers for clarifying that the beta tab is not required for launching new quests as there seems to be some misunderstanding about that on the Workshop!
