There something wrong with Wallpaper Engine recognizing some mp4 (h.264) encoding format. Doing my long road in trying to figure out why I was getting the c00d5212 errors. I uses many different of recording softwares. Wallpaper Engine will give a c00d5212 errors on all my videos encoded in MSI Afterburner using MPPG codec in an AVI container and re-encoded on openshot using MP4 container with h.264 codec.

However there was no errors on videos encoded with AMD Relive using AVC codec in a MP4 container. It worked perfectly. So after hours of trying to figure out how to fix it. I decided to go with the simple route.

Re-encode it with Handbrake. Handbrake is a popular editing software. Most people that do a lot of youtube videos will have it on their computer. If that is you just re-encode in Handbrake and you’re good to go. Unless you want to there no need to read any more.

Handbrake is free and a very powerful editing software. First you need to download it. I’ll provide a link below or you can google it. I will only cover a simple edit on my video however there are a lot of youtube videos tutorials on Handbrake. Google: Handbrake tutorials.

Launch Handbrake.
1. Click on source and load your video.
2. Enter your destination filename (saved video).
3. Click on the Video Tab
4. Quality slider. Use the default value or change it. Up to you. I set my on 25
5. H.264 Profile. Use the default value or change it. Up to you. I set it on high.
6. Hit the start button.
7. Wait until it finish re-encoding.
8. Import it to Wallpaper Engine and make whatever change you want.
9 Publish your video to Steam workshop.
