Hello again! My newest workshop submission is a SCI-FI interpretation of a hornet.



I always wanted to make M4A1-S using front grip as hornets stinger, I thought that it works and feels very accurately as the silent "pew-pew-pew" character of the gun resembles for me how stinger stings... I wanted whole gun to feel a bit like one of the hornets armor when it comes both to material selection and the shapes, which are more organic than your classic sharp sci-fi lines, I decided to round all the shapes also so they fit the M4A1-S model more, which is more round and less modern-sharp-stark feeling than the A4, due to the front grip being pretty much a barrel and the top receiver grip which does not have sharp edged RIS rail. Obviously as I was creating SCI-FI skin that is related to hornets, bees and yellow jackets I had no way to avoid using hexagons, which I think are a bit overused, that is why I wanted to use them in a subtle way, the grippy yellow material areas have little hexagon pattern, and the only area you will notice any hexagons from side view is this panel going from bottom receiver through magazine. I thought it is a safe amount that both shows the connection but isn't overusing it.
