We made this guide to help newcomers find easy ways to level up their character to have the most fun out of this game! Remember, this is WIP. PLEASE contribute if you find any new grinding spots!
Health Ops Grind
This is a straightforward one, from Alex/Ryan's garage, go right and take the subway, and ride it till it drops you off at Oak Hill. Once you get off, exit the station. You should be in front of a building called Health Ops.

From here it's your choice to beat up all the jocks outside and loot the parking meters, or just go inside. Looting outside usually makes the grind go faster.

Once you enter you should see a bunch of jocks and 2 weights. There's also a medicine ball on the top right.

You have 3 choices from here.

A. Grab the weights and keep hitting the jocks with it, they usually cannot react fast enough to knock the weight off of you. The weight has a lot of range, being able to hit people behind you as well! You can also hit people laying down on the ground with the weights.

B. Hit the weights/throw the weights towards the jocks over and over, hurting them with the large amount of damage of the heavy weights over and over (note: you risk hitting yourself as well if the weight bounces off too hard)

C: Just beat them up, no biggie.

Once everyone is killed inside, and all the money has been looted, grab one of the weights and head back outside. You have, again, the choice of killing everyone outside and the parking meters or heading straight back inside and repeating the process again

TL:DR: Go to subway, ride it to Oak Hill, go inside gym, grab weights, kill everyone, go outside then back inside, repeat
Arcade Grind
Next place we got is the Arcade grind, one of the best places to grind later on when you have more moves to kill people quicker.

Just head straight right from Alexs/Ryan's Garage till you see a giant building near the cat shop with Pac-Man on it.

I wouldn't deal with the people outside, it's just not worth it in my opinion.

Anyways just head inside and you should see the arcade full of nerds and arcade machines and a token machine.

Fight all the nerds in there, (if you cant, just ignore that) once they are all dealt with, go to the token machine. It's a machine that says token on it. Just keep hitting it over and over. If the breaking news report comes just ignore it. Make sure to walk behind it, just in case you missed any coins, then just head back outside and walk back in. Don't worry, the cops don't come inside the arcade.

Also if you're wondering how to get rid of the cops, hide inside a trash can or head to a hideout.
The End (And how you can help contribute!)
These are all the grinding spots I have found so far. If you know any PLEASE say it in the comments or add me. Please provide screenshots as well and a description on what to do. (and how to get there from Alex/Ryan's garage if you want).

I found the health ops / workout gym one without the guide, but good it's here.
Kick weights into left top corner and keep kickign them to the right as enemies come in and gettin in the path. They clobber the enemies in about 4 good hits.

If no one mentioned it, that sewer exit north of the big restroom in Sticksville that always spawns 4 goths is pretty good because they die so easy.

In front of Merv's Tower in act3. 4 soldiers and (sometimes) +1 Agent there. They give great XP and cash. Just get in and get out repeatly.

Take a baseball bat to the sewer entrance and go inside the pipe. Step off the pipe and turn around to face the level entrance and swing away at the horde of Warlocks that begin flowing in. You MUST use a bat as its range will catch most, if not all of them, has enough impact to stop them in their tracks, and is fast enough for you to catch anyone who you may not hit on the first swing. Their bodies and tons of money should pile up in the pipe. CAREFULLY hop back on the lip of the pipe and walk out to collect the cash. Repeat as necessary. With proper timing some fighters can do this without needing the bat (Ryan's Stone Fist makes this easy). The only downside is sometimes they will try to run at the sight of you with a weapon and you will end up knocking them back out of the level, gaining nothing, but more often than not you will be looting ~$5 every 5 seconds.

And also all the dumpsters or walls can be used for cornering agents. Thus comes the second easy way - find a bus stop near second Ryoma's Dojo (Dragon Auto). Just come inside the bus stop and you can stun-lock all enemies inside. You can use the low ceiling to your advantage if you have fast combos, that keep enemies in the air (like Ryan 4-hit punch combo), if kept airborne for enough time agents may stay blinking and then duplicate eventually without needing to keep them alive and avoid them.

Found two ways of easy grinding for late game (clones and agents): one way it to use "practice" option in dojo's - it will drop one agent (frequently) along with practice dummies or rarely - group of clones with agents and Abobo. It is easy to control single agent in such a tight space and you can use dummies to knock them down. Duplicate agents - original one starts blinking red, then you need to avoid him (easy by blocking in the corner or running around) and then deal with both of them till one of them starts blinking. Each agent gives 120 exp (60 when downed, 60 when disintegrating and dropping money).

Instead go back into the hideout and return to the hallway.. kill the mob.. and the twins will spawn through the door again. You can keep doing this till you've built up a respectable amount of money. (In addition everytime you kill the twins boss you'll gain a level till around lvl 15 or something like that.)

then go back into hideout.. save... .. go to title... open up the game again.. but this time switch the level to "act 2..." you'll be in front of the old river city high school

go west.. and then east past the subway.. and you'll be in the area with the dragon dojo where you can spend all your cash on moves.

After beating the whole game with one characters. it's possible to play through the game again using any character in the "act 1: tutorial mode". So that means you can pick any character and play through that mode.. which will easily net you around 100$ per loop (and more)

The trick is to get to point where you beat up the twins but then don't go through the room to kill the last boss.. (if you go up to kill the last boss it will send you to the start of the game and reset your money to 0$!!!)

Burbs douches and army guys have more money, last safehouse is Cindy's, and Saunas heal you most... lots of grind on Rollingwood!
