Editing/making textures for banners and tattoos
I've made some mistakes in the video, such as not putting the file type at the end of the tattoo files in the editor (should have ended with .dds)
I used paint.net because it's free! But any program that lets you open or save .dds files should be fine.
It might also be a good idea to back up any vanilla files you will use as your templates such as the leather armour or banner ones i used.

Ok, I've got it now, thanks for the help.
I don't know how to make it a patch because I think it works as a standalone mod. But I've already managed to make the tattoo visible, which is what I wanted. Thanks a lot!

Hello, thank you very much for replying to my message so quickly. Okay, I'll try to fix it with what you told me. Just one more question, what is a "mip maps"?

otherwise i'd suggest directly opening up my old tattoo mod and exporing the files etc there and try making some changes to those exisiting files directly. Sorry, it's been a very long time since i've modded Kenshi properly.

Hi Crus,
I made some errors in the video such as not ending the file links in the editor with .dds. Also make sure that you place the textures you use in the mods own folder. Also that you generate mip maps when you save.

Hello, I am trying to add a custom tattoo just like you have done in your mod.
But I'm new to this mod thing. I'm following your tutorial, I've done everything as in the video but when I start a game with the tattoo as a "shirt" the body comes out black except for the face, then I take off the shirt and put it back on and it looks good now but no trace of the tattoo. What is it due to? I'm sorry, I've tried to fix it but I can't do it. could you help me??

hm really not sure sorry. I see it fine and it's set to public. Well the texture guide bit is pretty much just the video anyway so I hope that helps. It's super basic/janky though (sorry)
