Note: This game is optimised for an Xbox 360 controller. Compatibility with other controller types is not guaranteed.

Guide Cluckles through each level to reach the exit, but watch out for obstacles and enemy minions that can harm Cluckles. Collect all the chicks to be awarded a perfect star for that level. Note that it's not necessary to collect all the chicks in any given level to progress to the next.
Keep track of how many chicks need to be collected using the chick counter in the upper left corner of the screen.
If Cluckles is killed by a minion or an obstacle she will restart the level from the beginning. Shield and armor collectables increase Cluckles' hitpoints.

Cluckles is a speedy and nimble little chicken. As she navigates through the levels she can run, jump, double jump and wall jump. She is also brave and feisty. Armed with her trusty sword she can dash attack to kill the roaming minions.

Tip: Executing a double jump followed by a dash is a speedy way to fly through a level and can allow Cluckles to reach distant platforms.

Keep an eye out for collectable items like shields and armor that can give Cluckles additional hitpoints.

As you progress through the game you will occasionally stumble across a switch. Switches can hide walls, reveal platforms or set stationary platforms in motion. It will be up to you and your puzzler skills to figure out how a switch can help Cluckles progress.

Secret areas are scattered throughout the levels. Chicks, switches and collectables can be hidden in secret areas so you'll need to use your powers of exploration to search them out. In many cases helpful elements in the environment can indicate that a secret area is nearby. But this isn't always the case, as you progress through the game you'll need to rely on your hard-won experience and Cluckles' agility to find them. If you're having trouble finding the last chicks in a level, there's a good chance they are hiding in a secret area. Search walls, floors and ceilings for secret areas. Remember, press down on keyboard or controller to drop through platforms. Secret areas could be above or below Cluckles.

Cluckles' Adventure features two game modes: Classic and Speed Run.

Classic game mode is best for beginners. Cluckles can explore the levels at her own pace; finding the chicks, killing minions and avoiding obstacles with no time pressure.

Speed Run game mode is for advanced players. In this game mode Cluckles must speed through the levels and reach the exit as fast as she can. Your fastest level times are recorded in the statistics menu and uploaded to the Steam Leaderboards where you can compete with other Steam players for the fastest global level times and ultimate supremecy.
Note that for the level time to be saved for any given level Cluckles must collect all chicks for that level. If you miss a chick, the level time will not be registered. So Cluckles will need to know the
level like the back of her hand (wing?) before she attempts a speed run.

To check Steam Leaderboards navigate to the Cluckles' Adventure Community Hub, click on the 'All' Tab, click on 'View Stats' at right of screen, and select 'Global Leaderboards' from the drop down.

The Statistics menu screens provide details about Cluckles' progress through the game. Awards are given for completing each of the three game worlds that Cluckles must conquer and for achieving perfect stars for all levels (achievable by only the ultimate Cluckles master).
A running count of Cluckles' deaths is also kept here (poor Cluckles... how could you?).
Note that awards displayed here correspond with Steam Achievements.

On the second Statistics screen Cluckles' fastest level times are recorded for the Speed Run game mode. Note that these are your personal best times, not global best times from the Steam Leaderboards. To see how your level times compare to the world's fastest Cluckles pros, click the Steam button and navigate to the Steam Leaderboards.

From the Settings menus you can control music and sound effect volume, change the game window size and set the game mode.
