Costs 10k (CHEAP)
Scale size (this was the main requirement)
Combat effective its not, it can handle some DWG stuff that costs more resources but thats about its limit.
Proof of concept for scale Metal gear REX.
Looks good but I just proved to myself I cannot make a combat effective scale REX due to not being able to mount engines or shell customisers on spin blocks - it has the correct shell type mounted in the right leg but the game will not allow the gun to see it, so there is a weaker shell (2m) mounted on rear turret. If you want this a metal gear that looks awesome and kicks azz, but is not scale scale size there is one on the workshop.
It needs about 3 seconds to stabilsze before launch and is untested on terrain as at current altitude setting it will fail, 10 minute flight time if you are lucky.
Strengths: Scale size, looks good in dark green, will shoot back

@spud, it was just an extra layer on top of steel, light to balance weight but after I rebalanced thrusters I forgot faceplatecould be upgraded to metal

I got one smaller than the link you posted now, but could never get all of it functioning when that small. Bravo to you dude, getting this bad boy so (in FTD standards) micro! Why alloy faceplate though?

learning replica building was fun, but no more asthetic compromise for me. Its back to building stuff that fights hard and dies hard
