Go to the directory where your Mob Rule is installed.
Right click MR.exe and select Properties.
Under "Compatibility" tab, do the following:
Run this program in compatibility mode for: "Windows 95" or "Windows 2000" or "Windows XP"

Check the following:
Run in 640 x 480 resolution
Disable display scaling in high DPI settings

Should look like this:

Apply/OK then run the game.

*If this works on Win8+, tell me so I can edit it saying that lol

Weird, now I can see customization again. No rhyme or reason lol?????

Sooo, I did this. But now when I click on MR.exe, and click on Properties, there is no more customization tab anymore.

So i went with xp service pack 2, go into the game settings and turn auto scrolling off
Now scroll with the arrow keys and it should be smooth, hope this helps someone to enjoy the game.

Thanks. Works fine for Win 11. It's still really fast but now it's at least controllable.

Thank you! This fix worked for me in Win7. However, when there is any other menu up (ex. the Gadget Factory view trying to plant a tree), it will revert back into the fast scroll mode until you exit the view.

Didn't work for me on Win7.
Win95/WinXP SP3, scroll speed in settings. Nothing worked.:bbtcat:

if all 3 windows choices do work you should get the latest
e.g. it's much better to run in compatibility mode for winXP over win95
simply because there's much more compatibility flags enabled for win95 compatibility. And if they are unecessary they might get in the way of things.
