Let's do some magic.

As you may know, this game has some graphical issues, and I'm gonna try to help you with that.

Solution to fix graphics, resolution fix, working Steam Overlay and a bit of MSAA

You can encounter graphical bugs by choosing D3D renderer. Some may say that you can fix everything by choosing software renderer, but I see it as a bad solution, because game will look worse and it's gonna be more choppy. I know, FPS doesn't really matter in this game, but still.

So what do you need to do?
Download a tool called dgVoodoo 2. link[dege.freeweb.hu] (password for v2.55.2: dege)

Extract the archive and run dgVoodooSetup, click on DirectX tab and select your preferable resolution, VRAM of your videocard and also you can crank up MSAA up to 8x (if you want to). Then press Apply, OK. Now go to MS folder and copy 3 .dll files called D3D8, D3DImm and DDraw to your Gorky 17 folder (example - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gorky 17).

Can't get rid of annoying watermark? Try this method below.

Now just run the game with new dgVoodoo 2 D3D wrapper and enjoy it. Good luck.

Yeah, there is plenty of old games that benefit from dgvoodoo. Disciples, dungeon siege.. etc.

Thanks for the help, this is also useful to a bunch of older games like Blood 2 and SWAT3.

I have some graphic issue after all of that. It's like some dirt shadow follow all characters or mosnters, sticks around them when they move. At the beginning of the game when boat with team is coming those 2 concrete silos(?) are kinda invisible and after they pass thru them to the right those are visible. Not a big deal but Im trying what is the problem here.

I think when I played this a few years ago I used software mode. Does this 3D mode show the grid lines we can see in some screenshots that were missing?

Anyone still having problems with the watermark: open the dgVoodoo control panel, and select the DirectX tab, then uncheck "dgVoodoo Watermark" at the bottom right.
I was confused AF by instructions because I kept unchecking the 3Dfx watermark under the Glide tab... derp.

Thanks, it worked for the cinematic and for the watermark, but anyone knows how to make the textures less blurry?

Main character´s textures are blurry as hell and i cant remove the watermark. What the hell where they thinking? Imagine if everymodder add a damn watermark to their programs?!
