[Offline mode] Editting credits and levels
By Droopy The Dog
Long gone are the days of baked in cheat codes for games, or even a handy dev console for your singeplayer game. So for people who don't care/have time to spend a few hours running mindless low level runs to unlock the later difficulties, here's a guide to skip the grind.

Warning - It's not terribly straightforward, you're going to need to edit a server database. If you've never done that before, a separate free GUI utility (Studio 3T) is highly recommended, and it's presumed you're willing to install it for this guide.

Preparation
Ok, first of all, if you've been playing in online mode until now, you're going to have to create your offline profile. There's no way to transfer across your online profile to an offline one (I know, annoying right?) so just make a new one and save and exit the first chance you get.

Make sure you shut down Space Run Galaxy, or you won't be able to edit your save without it reverting.

Next, you're going to want to download the Studio 3T[studio3t.com] utility and install it.

Once that's done you're good to go for the actual editting
Editting your save game
Step 1 - Navigate to this location inside the the game install folder :

[Wherever-you-put-steam]/Steamapps/common/Space Run Galaxy/Servers/MongoDB/bin

And execute the file named "start.bat", a little command prompt should pop up and fill with text like this:

Leave this window open open

Step 2 - Launch Studio 3T if you haven't already.

Step 3 - Click "Connect" in the top left, as pictured

Step 4 - In the window that opens, click "New connection" (Red circle below), make sure the default server address is "localhost" and port is "27017" (Yellow circle), then save it and connect.

Step 5 - Now that you're connected, you should see a bunch of entries in the left window pane. open up "SRGalaxyProfile" by double clicking it. Expand entry on the right that start's (1) and it's time to start making money.

Step 6 - Edit what you want by right clicking and selecting "Edit value / type"

Credits = "SpaceCredits"
Extra Ship Hexes = "CurCellCount"
Player level = "CurLevel"

You can also edit the unlocked turrets, cargo, unlocked missions and pretty much anything else. But honestly, once money is no object, it's probably simpler to buy everything from the merchant than delve deeper into the database.

Step 7 - Enjoy your grindless game!

Haha, np. Also, whilst I was in there testing I did a little more digging. If you want to fully unlock weapons without having to faff around buying materials:

Go to SRGalaxyProfileProgression->ModuleProgression->[number 1 to 27] and increase ModuleCount to 99 for each, then you should have everything fully unlocked.

Wow. I figured it was a longshot replying to a 2 year old guide, but you fixed my issue within hours! Thank you, Droopy! That was what I needed and I'm back in business!

Just for a little more guidance on this one, once you've selected SRGalaxy profile, you need to switch to the "data" tab at the top of the middle window, then expand the entry starting [1] as above

Yeah, after a quick check it looks like the latest free version of Studio 3T is no good. There's another freeware alternative that still seems to work:

https://www.mongodbmanager.com/download

Make sure to manually restart after installing that one, it wasn't working right for me until I did.

UI's a little different, but the process is more or less the same as above.

I cannot get this to work in 2019. There is nothing in MyGameServer > Collections. I've reinstalled. I've deleted all folders/db and started over. I've tried using start.bat or just running the game. There's never anything visible in Studio 3T. https://i.imgur.com/oNphsnB.png

They're stored on a per-system basis, so you have to figure out what ID corresponds to what system and what IDs correspond to what compenent types.

Honestly it's just simpler to give yourself loads of credits and buy them off the market in-game though.
