Sentinel Controls Guide
By ViviMech
In this Guide, I'll walk you through exactly how these Sentinel bots work, and thus how you can modify them yourself.
Note that this is based on my custom control scheme, but you're more than free to make your own.

Introduction
Skip ahead if you're in a hurry.

I've been working on a line of android lookin machines for a little over a year now, in the hopes that there'd be some sort of PvP mod in the works.

Now that the Multiverse update is under way, I finally have a reason to publish these.

Every Sentinel controls mostly the same, but slightly different.

This guide will show you how you can more easily and quickly pick up and master each Sentinel's abilities and weapons.

Now, let's continue:
Unfolding/ Houskeeping
Since every Sentinel (with a few exceptions) fits within the bounding box, every sentinel can unfold and extend their reach for more efficient and powerful strikes.

[BackSlash Key]

It's also noteworthy that almost every Sentinel has an intricate series of springs worked throughout their limbs.
To make the larger/ armored Sentinels more sturdy, press L once you've spawned in. They're all toggled tension so you only need to press it once.
Extending your Reach
All Sentinels have a togglable piston located in their forearms.
Once you understand their sense of weight, you'll have a better idea when to make your reach, and thus your power, stronger.

[Forward Slash Key]

Some Sentinels have heavier weapons/ faster moving limbs than others. Extending the arms may cause you to lose your balance if you're not careful.
Movement
Now let's get you moving toward your target.

All Sentinels move via quadrupedal wheels.
They all have restricted joints, so go nuts.

Arrow Keys

All Sentinels have a custom wheel speed catored to their weight, but they still might tip over during fast hard turns.
Aiming/ Thrusting arms
Piting your arms at different hights will allow you to do an array of various attacks.
Use in tandem with the next step to create powerful slashes or thrusts.

Bracket Keys
Torso Movement/ Centrifugal Slashes
This is where things get slightly complicated.

Moving the torso also rotates the arms.
It's a little tricky to get used to, but once you do, you'll be able to do a wide array of attacks.

Comma/ Period keys

Something to try:
  • Press the
    Comma key
    till hand is pointing forward

  • Press the
    Left Bracket Key
to bring hand toward your face

  • Press both
    Period
    and
    Right Bracket Keys
This will perform a Horizontal Slash, one of your most powerful attacks.

Keeping Centrifugal forces in mind will help you understand what keys to press at what time.
Utility/ Special Abilities/ Cosmetics
Everything you've read above covers the basics in how combat works with Sentinels.
However, sometimes that's not enough.

Any weapon that a Sentinel is holding will be controlled by the Semicolon and Apostrophe keys.

Semicolon/ Apostrophe Keys

Most Sentinels also come equipt with special attacks or Cosmetic pieces.
This is typically unique to every Sentinel. Here's a couple of examples:

Minus/ Equal Keys
Usually for opening hidden guns or unfolding wings.

Number Keys
If the main weapon keys are already used, most secondary weapons are activated via the 1-3 number pad keys.

For the Sentinel Savage A8 however, the 4,5,6 and 8 keys are used as a secondary WASD format for omnidiractional aiming.
Collections
Now that you're all set, here's some quick ways to get started:

Make a Titanic class template. The titanic class should be twice as big as the titan class.
