Overview

Spook is one of the more subtle Commanders in Forts. Rather than receiving a flashy boost to stats or increase in weapon power, her years in the Iron Bear Intelligence services have provided her with abilities that instead seek to undermine the enemy’s fighting capability.
Abilities
Passive
  • Hide Damage - To the enemy, her fort appears completely intact, denying them the opportunity to peek through any damaged cladding to get a clue as to what lies behind.
  • Peek Resources - Spook receives an additional HUD section, showing the resources of a particular fort. (pressing the magnifying glass button will change the fort focus when there are multiple forts)
  • Locate Reactor - The location of the enemy reactor is shown on the exterior of their fort.

Charge
  • Reveal Fort - The fog of war is lifted for a period, allowing Spook to see into the enemy fort.
  • Steal Resources - The moment the charge ability is activated, Spook steals 200 metal and 2000 energy resources from the enemy.
Tips
  • Make good use of the Peek Resources. The maximum storage capacity of metal and energy gives a good indication of how far the enemy is through their tech development.
  • Maximise the use of the Steal Resources capability by keeping an eye on the enemy resources. For instance, if you know the enemy has a cannon, they are probably trying to build up enough energy to fire it. Steal resources just before it gets high enough.
  • Reveal Fort is a great advantage, not only in seeing what tech the enemy has, and what strategy they might be going for, but it also makes weapons that can penetrate the fort’s outer skin more powerful.
Strategy
Spook’s ability to see inside the enemy fort allows her to follow an aggressive missile and mortar strategy, as shown in the following steps.
  1. Build an Upgrade Centre, then an AP Sniper to apply pressure to the enemy and distract them from their build process.
  2. Construct a Workshop, and Mortars and two Swarm silos.
  3. Upgrade Mortars and one Swarm to Warhead.
  4. Attack with mortars and swarm to build ability charge, taking out enemy MGs with AP Sniper as you go.
  5. Once charge ability is available, Spook can use her Reveal Fort ability to pinpoint and take out any anti-air defences, leaving the way clear for an combined assault of mortars and warheads.
  6. Additionally, Steal Resources assists in funding the firing of the warhead, one of the more expensive weapons.
  7. Destroying enemy MG and Minigun defences reduces the need for Swarm missiles to provide cover for the Warhead, so upgrading all Swarms to Warheads is a viable tactic.

Thank you for this guide, Spook is my favorite commander, sadly i am very bad at the game without custom mods.
