Hey folks, Deco here with a new unit for Empire, Bretonnia and Dwarves.

Dwarf Mercenary
Dwarf mercenaries and adventurers may be found at local inns across the Empire. They will gladly offer their services, especially if the coin is good and a few greenskins are slain in the process. (Recruited from all Taverns - level 2).

This is an elite unit capped to 3 per campaign and 1 for custom battles. He has a few head and body variations.

+ High melee defence
+ Encourage
+ Physical & Magic resistance
+ Rune of Courage equipped
+ 1 Unique custom ability: Last Stand
- Vulnerable to missile damage

As an RPG fan, this mod is part of my effort to bring adventure parties of mixed races to the battlefield. As always feedback is more than welcome.

-It should be compatible with everything as it's just a units mod.

@Mazingerzero1990 I'm aware of it. I think it's a problem with the game in general. When there are a lot of races in a battle (elfs, dwarfs, human etc) the audio dies sometimes even without this mod enabled. That means I will have to limit my heroes to a single faction in my next update (i.e. giving the Dwarf the Dwarf audio files and having him available only to Dwarfs).

There seems to be a audio problem with this mod. I have a single Dwarf Merc in Thorgrim's Army and when I go to battle the audio dies compleatly

Updated for Norsca patch.

- The unit is now called Dwarf Mercenary instead of just "Dwarf"
- Armour increased by +5
- Now the unit is available to the Dwarfs and Clan Angrund (tavern level 2)

Please somebody make a ‘nerfed Dwarfs’ or a ‘defensive Dwarfs’ mod.

As a fan of the lore, I really hate them having a good chance of stomping all over the Greenskins. They are supposed to be a doomed and dwindling race, albeit with very strong defenses.

A -25% income and growth penalty ought to do the trick.

Or some way to make them less aggressive, like the Wood Elves. Pls.

Any chance of Hobgoblin mercenaries, since they will fight for anybody too? There some models in coupled with Chaos Dwarfs.

@Nightdream It's been some time since I've experienced this, but I'm pretty sure it is a bug present in vanilla and doesn't have to do with mods.

When many races are on the battlefield the sound sometimes disappears. If you try to play a few custom battles 3vs3 with 6 different races (without any of my adventures) the same thing may happen.

I will try to find a way to fix it by changing the audio files.
