This is a pretty basic guide on how to get every achievement in A Rose in the Twilight. Most of the achievements in this game are pretty straightforward so I didn't think making a guide would be necessary, but I ended up putting one together anyway since there isn't one up yet and thought it would be a great oppurtunity to make my first guide. So yeah, it's not exactly fantastic but should get the job done at least.

Achievements earned through normal story progression. Cannot be missed.

-Clear Dungeon
Clear all levels of the Dungeon.


-Clear Armory
Clear all levels of the Armory.


-Clear Courtyard
Clear all levels of the Courtyard.


-Clear Library
Clear all levels of the Library.


-Rescue Rose after she is taken
Obtained shortly after completing the Library.


-Clear Clock Tower
Clear all levels of the Clock Tower.


-Defeat Blanc
Obtained after defeating Blanc in the Clock Tower Upper Level. After watching the first ending of the game make sure to come back to this room afterwards to get the hourglass that enables Time Attack and the Blood Memory that Blanc left behind. You will need to do this fight again in Time Attack to get the "Quick Star" achievement.


-Clear Path to Abyss
Clear all levels of the Path to Abyss.


-Defeat Viola
While there is no Time Attack achievement for this fight, you will still want to do it again to shoot for a better time since it can take a while on your first go. At the end of the fight you will also get the final Blood Memory in the game and the True Ending. After Blanc finishes her off and her death animation starts, you will want to stand in the blood splatter until you are able to absorb it and view the memory. You must do this before the fight actually ends or you will need to do the entire thing over again to get another chance.

These are achievements that are earned either through naturally playing the game or by performing specific actions at certain parts of the game. None of them are permanently missable so you can always come back and get them whenever you want. The collectable achievements are also listed here.

-Die 10 times
See "Light in the Darkness".


-Die 30 times
See "Light in the Darkness".


-Die 100 times
This achievement, along with "Thorn Road" and "Seed Renewal" are earned simply by dying enough times. You will likely have all three of these before you beat the game.


-Giant kills Rose by throwing her
Self explanatory. You will get this one naturally pretty early on.


-Throw Rose 100 times
Another easy one. You will definitely have it before completing the game.


-Perform a nice shot with Rose at Courtyard 4
At the beginning of Courtyard 4 where you need to throw a bug inside the plants mouth simply throw Rose instead.


-Watch the last moments of a beast
When you reach the room with the two Masters Portraits in Library 4, you will notice a fireplace with a piece of cloth hanging over it. Have the Giant stand on the nearby chair and do a jumping throw with Rose to launch her into a hidden path. Follow the path until you find a dead animal that Rose wants to properly put to rest before it becomes corrupt. Pick up the animal and walk back to the room and interact with the fireplace with the animal still in hand.


-Watch the moon from somewhere in the caste
In Clock Tower 4, once you activate the lift that takes you up to the end of the level, hit the switch again when it stops to continue ascending upwards. When you reach the top you will see the red moon.


-Giant jumps off the highest point in the castle
This achievement is earned alongside "Red Moon". After viewing the moon in Clock Tower 4, have the Giant walk off one of the side platforms so he drops down to where the lift started (this will kill him).


-Clear Path to Abyss 1 without touching any mushrooms
When you start to drop on the pieces of debris at the beginning of the level have the Giant hold Rose and continue platforming your way to the right. As long as you don't fall all the way down and bounce on the mushrooms you will recieve this achievement after finishing the rest of the level.


-Obtain 5 Blood Memories
See "Bouquet of Roses".


-Obtain 10 Blood Memories
See "Bouquet of Roses".


-Obtain all Blood Memories
There are 17 Blood Memories in total. You will need 16 before you can enter the Path of Abyss (which is all of them up to that point) and you will get the last one during the fight with Viola (see "The Beautiful and Final Rose"). Most of them are relatively easy to get and the levels they are located in are shown to you when you absorb the blood from the crystal ball at the end of each area.
Here is a quick reference of locations: Dungeon 2, Dungeon 3, Dungeon 6, Auditorium (after rescuing Rose), Castle Gate Corridor (unmissable), Armory 3, Armory 4, Armory 5, Courtyard 2, Courtyard 4, Courtyard 5, Library 2, Library 4, Private Room (unmissable), Clock Tower 1, Clock Tower Upper Level (after defeating Blanc), Sealed Room (at the end of the fight with Viola).


-Obtain all of the Collections
There are a total of 11 Thorn Research Diary's, 9 Viola's Notes, and 17 Blood Memories you will need to find (anything not listed is unmissable). The Thorn Research Diary's are all in plain site, as are all of Viola's Notes. All of Viola's Notes are found in the Path to Abyss along with the last few Thorn Research Diary's you will need.

This section is specifically for the Time Attack achievements. These are the hardest achievements in the game and the last ones you should focus on.

-Complete Time Attack for Clock Tower Upper Level within 1:50
This one really just requires you to do the fight with Blanc flawlessly. So long as you don't die and no cycles are repeated then you should get this with no problem.


-Clear Time Attack for Path of Abyss 2 within 2:10
This one is a bit tricky but is certainly doable given enough patience. This is the only level in Time Attack where you will need to take any small time save you can get. Even the smallest mistake is enough to need to reset and try again.

*Note: So the time constraint for this achievement is not nearly as tight as I initially thought (thanks too GallerieDuIb for pointing this out too me). You'll still need too be quick and efficient, but don't let what I wrote above trick you into thinking this is super hard or something.


-Clear Time Attack within 2:40:00
See "Speed-of-God Star".


-Complete Time Attack within 1:50:00
See "Speed-of-God Star".


-Complete Time Attack within 1:20:00
This achievement, along with Speed-of-Sound Star and Speed-of-Light Star, are likely the last 3 achievements you will be attempting to get. Time Attack becomes available after obtaining the hourglass in the Clock Tower Upper Level after defeating Blanc. After you defeat Viola and finish the game your map menu will display the combined total time it took you to finish every level. You can select any level you want and begin working on getting the best time you can for each individual level in any order (though I recommend doing it in the order you originally did them in). You will want to do every level as optimally as possible and save a much time as possible. Doing a practice run or two before attempting the Time Attack for some levels is pretty helpful, and you should always reset the level upon any death. It is not quite as difficult as it sounds. You mainly just need to be confident and not hesitate when going for the best possible time.

Speed-of-God Star is almost definitely the last achievement you will get, so congatulations when you finally manage it.
