Hello to everyone. This guide is not a full walkthrough and is meant to help those people who encountered the bug that dosnt allow the player to open any door of the game.

I suggest to follow the walkthrough of the user Wolf in combination with this guide.

Comparing the save games between me (one of the many that cant open the first door) and a friend who did 100% this game without issues, I found a way around.

The saves are in the windows registry and basically as soon as u get a key the game registers a string: " Entrance key_h838025366 "(example of the first key).

If you have no issues this string gets created, if like me you do have issues it dosnt.

Just creating this manually in your registry and assigning to it a value of " 1 " allows you to open the door without issues. When you create this actually the game registers as you have already opened the door.

So what we will be doing is creating each Key string as soon as the game should've done it in the first place.

My advice is to follow a walkthrough of this game and save and quit the game as soon as you get a key. Then go into the registry and manually fix the problem. You could add all the values before starting but Im not sure if that will cause all achievements to unlcock at once (I dont actually think it would happen), cause it will be like having used a complete save file.

Keep in mind that when you collect one key and then manually add one string, for some reason all the keys in the game will disappear, you will know they should be there if you read the guide.

Ps: This game has even a problem with achievements that mostly unlock when you close the game or if you go to a trigger poin in the bedroom.

Open the windows registry by typing " Regedit " and then go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/DarkDayInteractive/OneFinalBreath.

Right click on a blank space, create a DWORD Value 32bit and assign for example " Entrance Key_h838025366 ", then double click on it or press enter and assign " 1 " as value.

As I said before I would do it not all at once but when you were supposed to have them in the game. Repeat the process for each key and you will finally be able to complete this game.

As I said before this game has plenty of bugs and another one is that the achievements mostly trigger after you close the game.

There is actually a trigger point into the game located in the bedroom (image below)



Some achievements like the following wont always trigger and going to this place and then closing the game will unlock it.

- First Encounter
Won't be The Last

- Is that a rat?
Entered a Basement

- Below Zero
Entered the Freezer

- R.I.P
Reach The End of Episode 1
