But seriously... no overhead map and no backtracking allowed is probably the most challenging aspect. Though I think it would mostly force me to play an extremely defensive game ambushing 3 on 1 in stairwells, camping on climb spots with ranged units, and the like and just wait for the enemy to show up.
The AI seems to aggro most of its forces towards any enemy it can 'see'... so you will have to exploit that weakness to your advantage, and find a good defensive spot near your own wagon to concentrate your forces. They always come.
