Admins Apprentice

A mod to help server admins with adding spawn entries and engram data to ini files

This is a simple one use mod. Run it and it will export a list of spawner names to the server log file, followed by a list of engrams, and then some information about the engrams. Also exports a list of remaped NPC's.

This information can then be used to make changes in via the ini file configuration options.

Why use this mod

Some maps use custom spawners and we need the name to make changes in the ini files. And finding a list of Engrams can be a painful task.

How does it work

Install this mod on a server, run the server and login. Wait a few minutes and then Log out and stop the server.

In the server log file (usually found in the ShoortGame/Saved/Logs directory) will be several lines of text output like this:

The source files are available on google drive from now until I remove them, I don't know when that will be but it will happen one day. There is no copyright, I release this into the public domain, this is super basic stuff that anyone could work out how to do in a very short time.

I haven't actually tried yet, since I'm primarily interested in debugging spawners in more details then just getting a list of them, but the core game mechanics haven't changed, so the chances are good.

On the other hand, I've been looking for an excuse to get my hands dirty on writing a mod, so maybe I'll just try to figure this out on my own in the Dev Kit. :)
