This guide will use a map of every level in the game to show you the location of the star collectibles. Some of these locations may not be self-explanatory and can be hidden as part of a secret. For more details on these, check out my Secrets Guide which explains how to unlock these particular stars.

The star spawning in Bogus Detour works on a semi-random basis. Some stars will always spawn in the same position, while others will spawn in one of the many random locatons. However, the amount of stars on a level will always be six, with the exception of "Serious Sabotage", which has no stars. During this guide we'll differentiate the "fixed stars" and the "random stars" in the following way:

Fixed stars will always spawn in the same location. They are indicated with this green star.

Random stars may not always spawn in the same location. From all of the blue stars on the map, the amount of them that will spawn is six minus the amount of fixed stars on the map.

This level has four fixed stars. Out of the ten random stars, two will spawn.

This level has two fixed stars. Out of the ten random stars, four will spawn.

This level has two fixed stars. Out of the ten random stars, four will spawn.

This level has four fixed stars. Out of the four random stars, two will spawn.

This level has four fixed stars. Out of the six random stars, two will spawn.

This level has four fixed stars. Out of the four random stars, two will spawn.

This level has six fixed stars. There are no random stars.
