How The Double Slip Switch Works
Introduced in the March 2017 update I had no idea what a 'Double Slip Switch' was or even how to find it in Transport Fever.

This video should tell what you need to know about making switches 'double slip'.

*Please excuse the fact that I keep getting the name wrong in the narration! Sorry.

Thank you! Had come across the slip switch some time ago and like you had no idea what it meant. I intended to look it up but promptly forgot until I stumbled across your video. Very helpful.

Thanks @NoAchievement4U, there are quite a few of these little features in the game that are so easy to miss. Yep, definitely agree, I too find it much easier to understand if I can see something being worked through.

I had no idea the game even had this option. Thanks for sharing this! I am a visual hands on person. If someone told me how to do it, I would not get it or I would forget.

Thank you @Quince99, kind of you to say. Perhaps we should treat every game like some sort of point-and-click adventure - just run the mouse over everything and see what lights up! :)

Incredibly useful thank you! Had no idea this feature even existed in the game until now. Wonder what else I've missed from the previous updates.

You're welcome @Ursus Arctos Horibilis, although the AI is 'smart' at using all the platforms at a station it's route selection can be a bit off. Careful use of signals (you may find that setting some to 'One way', just click on the signal after placement might help), and also adding waypoints to a route can be a way to force a line to follow a particular track.

Good luck! :)

Ok. First of all thank you. They are wating for a free path and I also see some lines crossing but I can't see why the AI won't drive a bit to the right. I have enough douple slip switches

@Ursus Arctos Horibilis on the assumption that there are no problems with your train lines (all the line colours show up when you open the lines list) you should be able to spot where two coloured lines cross and then look at the switches and signals to see if that are designed correctly. The individual train windows also tell you why the train is stopped (waiting for free path, no path electric, that sort of thing) so always check those in case it's not a signal waiting type problem.

May I suggest that if you haven't done so already that you post details of this problem in the main discussions forum and put in a few screenshots that show your routes and the messages. There are plenty of folk there who are expert at fixing these sort of problems.

So it is kinda hard to tell where the problem is
