*** This map is somewhat outdated ***
As of the addition of turbophysics update and the 21/7/2017 jumps update, some information in this map is no longer true, and newer techniques are missing. In particular, Bunnyhop, Backwards crouchjump, Slopehop, Surf, and Propjump are all somewhat different, with propjump no longer being possible at all. New techniques will be added to this map when I muster the effort to do so. Until then you can check out some relevant explanations on my Youtube channel.



The Movement Tech Practice Room (MTPR) is back in way better style! More tech, easier navigation, better explanations, a true cyclopaedia of useless knowledge worthy of your spare time.

This map is designed to teach - and provide space to practice - the various movement techniques in the game. For each technique there is a room with a paragraph on the wall explaining how to do it, and some example geometry for you to try it out on. Similar techniques (the various ladderjumps, various drifts etc.) are kept together in one room to keep things nice and tidy.

Some of the techs here are pretty abstract and bizarre but all of them can help you out with your play and some of them are absolutely crucial to becoming a better player. Hopefully this map is useful to you and teaches you some things you didn't know!

To open the map type "map mtpr2" in console (no quotes), or go to create server > pick deathmatch mode / disable bots / set timelimit to 0 (infinite) > pick mtpr2 from the dropdown list and away you go.

In total there are 31 (!) techniques featured in this map:

UPDATE ninth march 2022. added bot support. bots will now do all the movement techniques and ride the conveyor belts in little conga lines

You need to make sure that you choose "Full Map List" in the mode selection dropdown box when creating the server, or enable developer console from the keyboard options menu by clicking "advanced" and checking the box for it

Hello! For some reason, the map won't show up when I use the 'create a server' method and the console won't come up when I press the key assigned to it. Help is very appreciated, thank you!
