The aim of this guide is to raise awareness of the good and bad that comes from custom thumbnails, and encourage FP to fix the current auto generated thumbnails. Please don't abuse the ability to create custom thumbnails as some already have. Keep your images looking like your item does in game, and everything will be fine. :gh_lol:

Some have mentioned a second method using your steam userdata folder, however whilst the method appears similar to that here, I haven't been able to replicate it in my (limited) testing.

Yeah thats does not work at all #1 It creates a temp folder for about 3 nano seconds then its gone and thats about it Cant do anything else so this video is beyond useless

doesnt work...
you need a computer from like 2005 and dial up internet so you can actually do this. . .
Unless you limit your bandwitth up speeds to like 56k dial up, then you wont get this up and going.

You will need to update your item like you do normally when editing an already uploaded skin.
