Beskrivning
Tired of having those awful anachronistic Frankish infantry units from "Early Frankish Units" (from Horse Lords Content Pack)? This mod combine them with the Charlemagne unit models, resulting in a more historically accurate look. It keeps some of the weapons and shields from the Unit Pack, while using slightly tweaked (look at the helmets) Charlemagne unit models.

@Malivamar I'm afraid that isn't possible. These units are tied to the ruler's culture, so every Frankish Karling would use them.

Is there a version of this mod that lets one of the frankish countries (such as Italy or Lotharingia) use the original DLC units while still keeping the Charlemagne units for France and Aquitane? Thx

1. Yeah, it works.

2. They changed how some of the graphical cultures work. Before HF, Anglosaxons and Old Saxons used saxongfx as their primary graphical culture, but now it's englishgfx. I think the Saxon unit DLC is still set to work with saxongfx. I fixed it in my "Improved Early Units" mod. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=815609190

Also, I seem to have a problem, for some reason the Anglo-Saxons wont use their unit pack, they use generic western units, if I switch the Saxon and English cultures around they gain the units but lose the portraits, could you perhaps make a mod to fix this issue please?

Do you mind if I include this in a sub-mod I'm working on (credited to you, naturally)? It's a perfect fit for Old French (the base mod's game-start is the 5th century, so the regular Frankish gfx fits fine until they Latinize).
