P.A.M.E.L.A. - The First Few Hours
By Razarak
This will be a starting-walkthrough/crash-course for anyone new to the game. Some of the things covered here will also be covered in-game in some fashion, and others (such as what power is and how to spot it) will be covered in more detail in other guides.

This guide should get you safely (hopefully) through the first areas of the game, and is meant to teach you what you should be looking for along the way. Most people are playing this game on a trial-and-error basis, such as myself, and many are getting mixed results about the game due to the punishing aspect of game-reset upon death. Hopefully, this guide will help ease the learning curve and let you truly enjoy the game beyond the confusing start.

Guide Part 1 - The First Few Minutes
Thie first half-hour of this game will be confusing to some, and scary to others, but it was both for me. There's a general feeling of danger in your first area, but right off the bat, you'll probably notice a perfectly still, standing enemy posing to the right outside the door. This "enemy" isn't hostile, and indeed seems to be part of the terrain. Ignore it at your leisure.

So, your initial room (and those around it) may have some good resources. Tap "R" to bring out your salvage/repair tool, and hold left-click on objects to salvage them. This salvage doesn't take up normal inventory space, and instead is transferred to a side inventory for crafting. Try to get a lot of metal/silica, but at this point in the game, it can't really hurt to have a little extra of everything. Tap "R" again to put away the tool, you can't use anything else while it's out.

If you can't figure out the door mechanism for whatever reason, there should be a black panel by it that will say "Open" in orange. Press "E" while looking at it, and it'll slide right open.

Should you wish to sweep this area for loot, you can do so easier by turing on you flashlight with "F", as well as using your sonar-esque pulse. This is done by pressing and holding "R" for a moment. Should this blue pulse touch a container, the container will flash briefly and a light on the outside will either show empty (no light/black), loot (blue light), or locked loot (red light/red lock). Even garbage cans and small crates have these lights, so you can always tell with a simple pulse if they're worth checking out. Press "E" on a container to open it.

You can double-click items in containers to take them, but this doesn't always work. If you click the "Show Inventory" button, your inventory will pop up beside the container's, and you can then selectively bring in what you want. Clicking an item once will grab it, not use it, and you can use the mouse wheel to rotate it to better fit.

Items on the ground can be interacted with by holding down "E", which was a nice tidbit that I didn't know for a long time.
If you found any gear, you can equip it by going to your Inventory and right clicking it, then hitting "Equip". Alternatively, you can click it once, then drop it into any slot that is glowing green.

There has never been any enemies in this area for me, but now would be the time to familiarize yourself with the combat system, rather than waiting until you're in danger. You probably don't have a weapon for now, but you might have gotten lucky and looted a shield. If you did, good for you, but try not to overuse it, as it'll drain power.

So, learn your block button (rebound mine, can't remember the default), note that you can do quick dashes with the Spacebar (in order to hit n' dodge), and keep in mind that you can do a lunge towards enemies with melee if your reticule is on them at medium-close range.
The inventory menu does NOT pause the game, and the Scanner/Repair tool prevents the use of weapons and blocks, so try to keep an eye out for movement when you're tallying up resources.

When you're ready, open the door and head into the next room.
Guide Part 2 - Ark Medical
So as you walk into this second area, you'll likely notice another statue of an enemy to your right. This one is also no threat, as are any still enemies you may find in this District. The robot behind the counter may be a welcome or horrifying sight, as this is probably the first animated entity you've seen yet. You should note that all androids that look like she does are pefectly harmless, and even ask if you need help. Should these questions ever get too annoying, they uh... drop alright loot with no resistance. I never had the heart to do it, though, so I've only seen a few broken ones that were caught in a crossfire.

Loot up this area to your heart's content, and move through the doorway into the hall. You should now be on the lookout for real enemies. Even the basic variety can be lethal to you at this point if you're not careful.

You'll come upon a closed gate leading into a large, dark area filled with body bags. Over to the left is a Recylcer, which is used for scrapping unwated gear for the game's currency, Lux. This would be the time to clear your inventory of anything truly unwanted, but make sure to eat and drink up before selling anything edible. You're as likely to die of starvation/dehydration at this stage of the game as anything else, like I did on my first run. The RNG just happened to favor the food drops over liquid drops that day, and it could happen to you.

The area beyond the Recycler usually has an enemy or two, and they may chose to attack you while you're at the Recycler. If you can avoid a confrontation at this point, it's for the best.

Once you're set, open up the big gate via the holographic panel beside it, go in, and consider closing the door behind you so the enemy from the other area doesn't sneak up behind you. This area can also have enemies, but I've only seen one here, so just stay alert and you should be mostly safe to loot around. The way you're trying to go to is on the right, at the end of the room; it doubles back on itself in a "U" fashion, but at the turn-around, there's a desk that can have some loot, as well as a door leading up to the second floor of a new area. I recommend you take this route upstairs, as that's where you want to be in order to get the District's power rating back up.

You may see (or even hear) a walking robot that is clearly different from the androids. Its face has a glowing light on it that indicates its state, and you can use this big guy to your advantage. I'll henceforth refer to this entity as the "Seeker". While intimidating, the Seeker poses no immediate threat to you as the player, as his scan will reveal that you're not a threat. Unless provoked, or unless you attempt to steal something (in a red-light container), the Seekers are only aggressive to your enemies.
This can be used to your advantage, as any threat led to him will almost certainly be "dealt with" swiftly, as it only takes a few hits for him to bring down base enemies. These enemies can then be looted for some of the Lux, sustenance, and gear that you desperately need at this stage.

At this point, you have a couple of options for starting strategies. One will teleport you immediately to the Garrison, a more dangerous area with better loot, and the other will assume you will be moving slowly from area to area, starting here in Ark Medical.
Guide Part 3 - Ark Medical Approach
Assuming you came up the stairs by the desk in the bodybag room, you'll be in a new, 2-floor area.

If you're indeed on the second floor of the correct area, there will be a room with a big cube to your right, and an Android stationed at a register to your left. Head into this right area, and be ready to run back to the Seeker if you get in trouble.

Somewhere in this area, there should be a (possibly locked) booth with a metallic console-looking machine in the back-right. Get in, shut the door behind you, and look closely at the console; it should open up upon inspection. Here, you can see that you're in the Ark Medical District, and you can see the remaining power levels in this District as well as the other Districts (except Origin Station, I believe). Should any of these numbers hit zero, emergency lights and kiosks will shut off throughout the District, making it more hazardous to explore, and less useful as a potential home due to the deactivated Shops/Recyclers. The power console will always remain active to reverse these effects, but will likely be harder to get to.

Note the amount of time left before the lights shut off in your District by looking at the top-right panel, and hit the "Request Max" button to charge it back up to full. Don't worry, the main station regenerates power during the day, so you're not using up a finite resource. Note again how much time you have before the District runs out of power, and if you're going to remain in this District for a while, try to make it back to the panel to fill it up again before the lights go out.

You may be tempted to start a base here, and if you decide to, use the "C" button to open up the crafting menu, and start with a power transmitter and an ion battery. Try to pick a place inside some form of barrier, like the Android's station on the first floor, so you don't have the waste power and resources on shield pylons.
I do not, however, recommend that you use this area as a base, and if you do, that you don't do it for long. Solar panels are the only method of recharging the ion batteries, and down here, there's no sunlight to do it with.
If that was a shock to you, yes, this game has a day state! Most Districts have some form of sunlight access, but these areas aren't always safe or convenient for other things.

So, once you've done what you're going to do, you'll probably be looking to get into a new District. The nearest one with sunlight (insert infinite power joke here) can be best described using the sleek, glowing elevator as a landmark. Exiting the second floor (the one above, I think L2 is actually floor 1. Confusing, I know.) , you can follow the wall to your right until you find a gate with some stairs behind it and to the left. This area probably has at least one enemy, so take that into consideration.

Once you've gone up the stairs, the path should be to your right, and it's pretty straightforward from there on out. You should see sunlight soon, if it's day! You can check the time on your AARM device to the right of the menu. Try to explore around and memorize this new area, but make sure to get back to familiar territory before night hits.
Guide Part 3 - Garrison Approach (Unfinished)
Guide Extras - Known Cryo Pod and MPS Locations
Here's a short synopsis of spawn locations (Cryo Pods) and Main Power Supply (MPS) locations I've found:

Cryo Pods:

Ark Medical - You've seen this one when you started the game for the first time. Bottom floor of Ark Medical, beyond the bodybag room and the dead android clerk.

Arcadia - Floor 6, in the New Life clinic. It should be listed as cryogenics in the elevator menu as well. Before the very last room (with a dead man in a medical chair) there's an automatic sliding door to the right. It'll scan you before letting you in, which will act as a barrier to any of the enmies outside. Be warned, as I've sen the red-tinted enemies spawn outside of this room every now and then.

Garrison - I hear this one's on the bottom floor, but I've never personally seen it. It'll probably be the next one I go hunting for once I find another Core.

MPS:

Ark Medical - Described above; second floor of the Ark Medical lobby, near where the droid receptionists are.

Origin Station - Go between the small stretches of cashier's stations, on the leftmost side of Origin Station (near Oasis) and you'll find a staircase leading up. Behind the staircase (still on the first floor, to the left of the stairs) is a room with a battery backup and the MPS.
Note that the power level here in Origin lasts significantly longer than any District.

Promenade - If you're entering from Origin Station, continue down the first floor, going through the first glass/tree area before reaching a cashier's register and a MPS on your right.
If you're entering from Arcadia, make you way down to the first floor. This area is between the two glass/tree areas, so look around there. It's not in one of the shops.

Arcadia - Fourth floor, as the power stations near the elevator will tell you. There's a sign near the large white art piece that reads "Exit"; this area actually has a MPS and a battery backup.

Thoughts and Feedback
This is my first and only guide here on Steam, and I'd like to know what you guys thought about it. If you feel like there was something important I missed, an error in the guide, or an area that could use clarification, please let me know!
Beyond the Garrison approach, which I hope to do soon, I'm not sure how long I'll be able to update and improve the guide. It's not meant to be comprehensive, and I wrote this on an unusually free day, which may or may not happen again. I might go back in and add some pictures and clean up some sections based on feedback, but other than that, I'll probably leave it as-is.

Thanks for reading, and of course, good luck adventuring in Eden!

Thing is, though - They're behind doubledoors with no button to access them, but proximity engages them.

As mentioned: Garrison Cryo Pods are on the lowest level (6) in the Max Level Rehab. They're opposite the entry via elevator, and once downstairs they're not too hard to find.

Found the Garrison Cryo Pods, they are on the lowest level, in the Max Level Rehab and as Ty said, Fifth floor, but if you dont know what he means by 2 metal doors, goto the area on the floor where the Door Shields are, they are right next to them.

The MPS in the garrison is on the fifth floor. Operations. There should be two metal doors that open and when you go inside, there is a locked door in front of you with a fork going left and right. if you open the locked door and enter and go to the left you'll find the MPS there.

Thanks for this...is there any guy out there that explains all the menus and how to get to them?
I am sometimes getting the message that I am thirty and in that case I drink something but how do I look at this stat?
