Sorry I've been slowing down updates due to the next update coming soon and I'll be changing a lot of this guide that update. So i'm mostly getting ready for the next update.

I'm assuming what @Quetzal CoatRack is suggesting is
When you make a new save that skips the tutorial it has a chance of giving you either a human or cupcake for the 6th unit, and if it's a cupcake, it has random gear.

The gear can't be pit items, or unique items like "General".

You can easily get near all the items for cupcakes that way, but if you want to collect them yourself, this guide I hope can help lol

i would note, and it really just helps a person starting out, but Gluten starts with random equipment, and it takes little to no time to make a new profile or two. "catch" two new gluten, one on each, see if either has something you need, and trade it to an existing profile if so. it pads out most of the map encounter options relatively quick
