'Mine Sweeper' Guide
The following sections show cropped map images for Serious Sam's Bogus Detour denoting the locations of all mines when playing the game on Normal difficulty (without switches). This includes those in the five main campaign maps and additionally in the secret map.

Red signs with a white "!" denote mine fields in the game. So usually finding all mines should be straight forward, i.e. the mines are in the areas "sectioned off" by the signs. The map images denote the location of each mine via a red circle. This should ensure no location is missed, to unlock the elusive Mine Sweeper achievement.

Note: The mine location data was derived directly from the editor that comes with SSBD. Also note that the locations of the mines and their number changes with the difficulty and switches you activate when playing the single player game.

Note²: The mine maps are cropped versions of my full Maps for Serious Sam's Bogus Detour Steam guide. Be sure to check it out for more details.

I just completed this Achievement (which is unlocked at the very end of the Campaign), and as some people talked about the Mines having changed in an Update, I can confirm that ONLY E2M2 would be worth an Update, but it's only the area in front of the Trojan Horse before it collapses, in other words the entrance to the boss's arena, that has different Mine Placements now than on your maps.

Other than that, every single other Map are perfectly accurate, yes I did checked. Well, there was only E3M1 that I wouldn't know for sure if locations are perfectly accurate due to the trees blocking the view, but I just winged it and it was perfectly fine.

That damn wooden horse had landed on top of two mines! So that must've invalidated my attempt at this particular achievement! So beware, and I'd suggest writing down that warning, I didn't knew the damn thing would actually fall, plus it saves right as it lands.

Turns out, no i did not miss one. Despite the last mine being in Running up that Hill, you only get the achievement once you finish the game.

Damn it, i missed one mine somewhere and now i gotta play the whole game again. I bet it's somewhere in that massive field on Serious Sabotage. It's ridiculous!

In the "Overview" section of the guide you state that the location data are directly from the map editor so I don't see why you would need to replay the game. I'm playing the game on Normal difficulty with default switches and experiencing the differences the people before me described.
Namely on E1M1 on the way to the temple the layout of the mines is slightly different (and the obelisks are no longer there in the game). On E2M2 the layout of the mines in front of the horse is completely different.

Alas, I do not have the time or nerve to replay the game, should the mine "movement" really be due to updates and not a difficulty setting . As I recall difficulty changed things around somewhat.

If the mines really have moved location, it should be possible to find them so that an update is not strictly necessary... I hope.

An update to the guide would be nice, since some of the mine fields have been changed.

About E2M2... you may not be seeing some mines, since they already got triggered by enemies. Other than that, I have no idea where the discrepancies might be coming from. E.g. around the Trojan horse. Possibly, though unlikely, the more recent versions of the game changed something.

It's ok, I play on Normal Difficulty but E2M2: Trouble in Troy has differently minestone-spawns...

On Easy there should be less mines... so my map would be showing more mines than you can find in your game run... if I understand you correctly. Nothing much that can be done here though. I will not be updating the mine maps for other difficulties, sorry.
