Thanks for looking at this guide! Please consider liking and sharing this guide with those who could use it!

The cauldron is Shoppe Keep's way of crafting items and supplies that you can't order from the ipad magical parchment. However, it is very expensive to unlock and utilize. I hope that after reading through this guide you can get an idea of how to not waste time and make some monies! Also don't forget there's a robust wiki here[shoppe-keep.wikia.com].

Gonna be honest...using the cauldron's a complete waste of time. Because most of the cool stuff from garbage cans. Don't believe me? Look at this beauty just chillin in the rubbish can:

And after you unlock all tiers of classes, you'll find that your goodie pool diversifies:

You're still pigheaded enough to sink time into cauldron shenanigans? You know what I like you...you crazy masochist and I'm gonna tell you all I can about brewing in this game.

First, you'll need a steady source of liquid bone/junk/mirr/steel/gold/wood. These items can only be obtained by grinding other items like plain swords, magic potions, rock maces, leather pants...you get the idea. And to grind items, you need the grinder!

As you might guess, higher value items wil give you better yields of liquid. So rare items that you might find from a garbage can or from an adventurer will most likely ending up all Fargo'ed. Note that some of your customers may also sell liquid stuff as well although this is rare.

Liquid stuff isn't the only thing you'll need. Stash the following items in your back room's chest until you need them. Magical chests of holding are awesome in this game.
  • Metal Bar
  • Gold Bar
  • Enchanted Flaming Sword
  • Dragon Gem
  • Solid Bone

The Skills to Pay the Bills
So all that being said here the basic skills you should have unlocked before pursuing the cauldron:
  • Champion - 400 kpoints
[use the champion to get raw materials that you don't normally have access to. They also are the one you'll be outfitting with leet gear[/i]
[e]Grinder - 150 kpoints [can't make cauldron goodies without liquid stuff]
  • Cauldron - 150 kpoints [the reason why you're looking at this guide]

So as you can see, you need 700 kpoints before you can even start to benefit from cauldron making! So how do you get that many points? Check out the next section for my suggested path!
A Path to Progress
Quests, quests, quests! Do them often and all the time. They're by far the best way of accruing money and kpoints. Plus the quests where you sell an entire set of something will unlock a statue in your home that gives you a passive bonus! Aim to complete these as soon as possible.

The quest where you sell weed grants 120 kpoints. It's the highest yielding quest but warriors don't buy weed. Also, farming is a little weird in this game in that you're crops will rot if you leave them sit for two long. So here's what to do:

  1. Unlock Tier 0 Druid. Eventually unlock all druid tiers BEFORE unlocking any other classes.
  2. Unlock Farming.
  3. Plant at least 30 weed. 30 seeds will cost 1740g.
  4. Continue doing quests while your crop grows.
  5. Harvest and store in your chest.
  6. Continue replanting.
  7. When the weed quest becomes active, get it from your chest, set the markup percentage by 210% and face sell to druids (mages and rogues will also accept). Note that when offering items directly, the customer decides how much they'll actually pay. We're just interested in getting those kpoints so you may not get a huge amount of money.
  8. After you unlock Tier 2 Druid, activate the Lord of Druids set quest and force sell to the required equipment.

Upon completing that quest, you'll unlock a statue that gives you the passive effect "Your plants no longer wilt." You may notice that if you leave your plants unattended, they darken and start green fogging. That's the rot. If you're crops are rotting, save your shop, quit the game and try collecting them again. Who knows...you might save your crop!
A Few Tips of the Trade
  • Unlock the first page of skills as soon as possible. Other stand out skills include:
    • Bulk Discount - You save money when ordering items? Get this first skill first before anything else.
    • Anti-Zap - Protect bystanders from your blind fury. And save yourself the step of sweeping up their corpse]
    • Entry Fee - Doubles as a way to tell when customers enter your store. AKA potential thieves.
    • Counter/Weapon Rack - Counters is where its at. Ignore the weapon rack.
  • Build counters. They are by far the most efficent method of item presentation. Armor racks and hat racks are the only other item presentations you may consider also using but my shop is almost all counters. This way when you do a luxury upgrade of the counter you can charge more. Plus it ups the durability of the counters i believe.
  • Never destroy furniture. When in build mode, right click the furniture you want to get rid of and you get an instant refund!
  • Use bots. Seriously. Get the engineering perk and set up two bots. Set one bot to guard duty and put hiim at a choke point. Set up another and make him restocking. Note that in the lower corner of the bot menu there is a margin text field. This is the markup percentage the bot restocks the items at. It's MUCH easier to adjust how much gold you charge your customers this way rather than placing things and changing the mark up percentage by hand.
  • Place a lot of ferns. It makes customers happier! And if you need extra cash for luxury upgrades, sell em back!
  • Dumpster dive. You'll find free stuff. And some of it can be amazing!
Oh Yea...The Formulas
Keep in mind:
  1. Always add items into the cauldron in the order of the formula. If you don't, you waste all the items.
  2. When you have the crafted item formula unlocked, it will apppear in the left hand pain of the crafting menu. Clicking that formula will auto craft the gear so long as you have the required ingredients in your inventory
