Sensible Crusades (OBSOLETE)

Description
THIS MOD IS NOW OBSOLETE, PARADOX HAS AT LAST FIXED THE WEIRD CRUSADES AND JIHADS

Are you tired of your Pope drunkenly declaring crusades for some far away Indian kingdom? Is your Caliph declaring jihads for Ireland, most likely whilst under the influence of recreational drugs? This mod aims to stop this nonsense, and makes great holy wars, jihads, and crusades, much more sensible.

This little mini-mod takes a few lines of code from the Extended Mechanics & Flavor module in the Historical Immersion Project, which creates three sets of criteria restricting what kingdoms the AI can declare great holy wars for, in order to prevent the AI from declaring nonsensical great holy wars. For example, the Pope will no longer call any crusades for kingdoms in India (unless Catholicism has expanded into India), instead preferring to crusade in say, the Middle East, or Africa. Despite the name, please note that this mini-mod affects the great holy war AI targeting of ALL religions (not just Catholics), from Sunni, to Reformed Slavic, to Judaism, to Zoroastrianism. For the AI to declare a great holy war on a kingdom, it must meet one of these three criteria:

- The target kingdom contains a holy site of their religion.
- The target kingdom contains a province of their religion.
- The target kingdom is adjacent to a ruler of their religion.

Note that these criteria are purely for the AI, the player can still declare great holy wars freely on anyone, should they desire to do so.

This mod should be compatible with pretty much any mod that doesn't change the crusade/great holy war CB itself. Many thanks and credit to the Extended Mechanics & Flavor devs who wrote the lines of code in the first place. Hopefully in the future this mod won't be necessary and paradox will have fixed this immersion breaking bug themselves.

Me, i always re-route crusades on russia and cumania to stop the muslims from taking it and achieving world domination, though:
Crusade for Yarkand looks kinda silly

bro this is hilarious for me. I was playing mutiplayer as a hellenic pagan in Arles, the Pope called a crusade, my Christian friend managed to get the crusade re-routed to Guge in Tibet, and the European armies all died of attrition on the way it was great.

In one playthrough recently I had a crusade for Kanem Bornu, while it was interesting as I was playing Basque Aquitaine, I thought the Pope was going a little overboard with the crusades.

I'm not fascinated by the damn description and logo of this mod, this has happened in my game, the pope called a crusade for the Xia Dynasty  i would say.

And so the Latin Empire and the Byzantine Empire fought but meanwhile the turkish warlords united and plotted.
