Farming Household Supplies and Zaid's Flares (And many other materials)

Hello, in this guide I'll share the best Zaid's Flare farming method I found so far. Required DLC: The Following.

You'll be also farming various other materials besides the Tin Can, Chemicals and Household Supplies.

When house becomes available
You won't be able to see the house on map, neither try to capture it until you bring back the water and then speak with Jasir, right after that you'll be able to capture the house, however in order to turn it into a safe zone you'll first have to finish a side mission.

The house won't become safe zone until you enable the power which is done in the side mission called "Power to the people", you can trigger this side mission by cleaning the house from zombies and completing the objective shown as a white marker right inside the house. After doing so, Crane will point out that the power might be off-line and call Jasir to ask him about that, after this you'll be sent to a mechanic called Bilal. House will turn into a safe zone right after you finish the side mission Power to the people.

Notes
1. Don't attempt this method on Hard mode, vendor won't sell all the materials unless you're either on Normal or Nightmare mode.

2. Vendor doesn't sell all the materials at night time, so make sure you farm at day.

3. Always sleep twice and make sure you wake up at day time.

It's still a good place to pickup household supplies and such, just can't sleep there anymore and expect the supplies to respawn. The electrical safe zone near the dam is too close too. I camp at the gas station and take a leisurely walk primarily looting for synthetics along the way and back to sleep again. Be sure to check with the vendors including any that spawn.

Could be patched which is unfortunate, I'm not sure.

Just cleared the house you listed in your guide - 5 household supplies appeared on the shelf just once. Then I had trouble with vendor not spawning, so I drove to the closest safehouse and slept there instead. When I came back the vendor appeared, but the household supplies didn't, no matter how many times and even days I've slept. What am I doing wrong?

The screenshot was actually supposed to be below "Exact location of house in the screenshot below." but for some reason Steam didn't show it. I just found out that and fixed it.

You omitted the screenshot. You could at least say "It's the Truck Stop Safe House just south of the Dam," so people don't need to try and watch the video through Steam's finicky client which -at least for me - often has problems playing videos. Just something to consider.

Uhm. . . You might want to add "The vendor only sells Chems when on Nightmare Difficulty." Because he doesn't sell most of the items needed for the Zaid's Flares on Normal Difficulty.
