[AKguns]5"/54 caliber Mark 45 Naval Gun Mod 4 Lightweight

Based on the 5"/54 caliber Mk45 lightweight naval gun used by the United States (and several other) navies doing the early part of the twentieth century (but with a design linage going back as far as World War Two), this gun brings to the table an extreme firepower in at short ranges.

Using a (unusually light, compared to its original projectiles) twenty-kilogram shell, which detonates into 3638 pieces of 4.4 gram shrapnel, this gun need only fire once. The shell should bulldoze through most armor to detonate inside the target ship's soft, vulnerable bits, creating a enemy ship with one hole in it- and no insides.

This version has a lower mass and power consumption, but long reload speed, as it is intended for use by drones and similar lightweight craft.
