OVERVIEW

A new Balkan Powder Keg update focusing on Macedonia and Slovenia. Slovenia has been left out in terms of ambition, this has been rectified. Macedonia is no longer a generic nation, but one with influence and power in the Balkans just like the others.

MACEDONIA

Starting with the newest focus tree addition, Macedonia. Macedonia’s tree is shorter compared to the others but equally as powerful. Similar to the puppet paths of Bosnia and Montenegro, Macedonia can choose to go alone or find an ally. The Independent path has two ideological options. Stay fascist or go communist. But within these paths bring power militarily and politically.
The fascist path sees Macedonia cooperate with Croatian fascist lightly, their territorial ambitions begin small with claiming Central Macedonia and Albania but eventually go onto claim Alexander’s Legacy.
The communist path gives great bonuses militarily at the expense of demanding state(s) events. However, this path is very influential with the ability cause and support communist uprisings in Bulgaria and Serbia.
The ally side has two paths. Side with Serbia and gain mutual economic support, or siding with Bulgaria and gaining mutual military support. However, this path does allow for light territorial claims and is better for long games once you break free from your dominion status which is not hard to do.

SLOVENIA

Slovenia has finally been made interesting! They have a third path now that revolves around territorial and political ambition. It includes three paths.

• Recreating the state of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs and then eventually forming Illyria or Yugoslavia
  
  
• Siding with the Alpine nations of Austria and Switzerland and possibly forming a single entity from it
  
  
• Balkan Domination – Using subversion and lies, play the other Balkan nations against each other and intervene in their wars.

What's next? Likely not too much until the next update. There is likely to be hotfixes but nothing major. I am quite happy with how the mod works and feels. Don’t fix what ain’t broke.

• Croatia now has flag change decision to have a coat of arms
• Vojvodina changed to the borders of HOI4 Patch 1.5.2
• Added Croatian foreign legion namelists
• Added Bosnian muslim legion namelists
• Croatia, when in faction with Germany can spawn (with PP) Croat Wehrmacht units (For Germany too) + some other legions
• Bosnia now has a system similar to SS-Wehrmacht relations but with Bosnians, Croats and Serbs. All must be balanced in their happiness or outside intervention can occur.
• Slovenia has a few more unique ideas – Begins with Slovenian Unity idea
• Slovenia has the dismantle Yugoslavia focus to Dismantle (Greater) Croatia
• Added nation ‘Dalmatia’ – Uses Dubrovnik focus tree with minor adjustments
• Forming Croatia will now give access to all of Croatia’s ministers
• More major news events – Likely more in the future for lesser events.

- Tuzla added to Bosnia to give it extra strength if Sarajevo is the first city to fall
- Colours of Croatia and Montenegro changed to ones used in EUIV for better name visibility
- Bosnia now has division names (Using Croatian names, for now)
- Bosnia tree overhauled for Osman Kulenovic, Mehmed Handzic, Peter II and communist path. Now more in-depth and extra options
- Croatian democratic tree overhauled. Now choice of being the vanguard of the balkans against communism by forming your own faction or fighting fascism in the balkans by allying with Britain and France.
- New infantry and vehicles models along with icons in the tech tree
- Krajina Serbs idea now more impacting to Croatia - Price of removal reduced to 300pp
- Toggleable native state names
