  • Updated to match latest version of the dev kit and game.

This will resolve the bug that occured after the latest patch that made it so the back and front facing text was missing when places walls and such. Unsure if there was any other bugs, but everything seems to be working okay as far as I can tell so if there was any other bugs caused by the patch, this version should hopefully resolve this.

The fish trap bug of being able to place them anywhere remains in place. Once I have all the fires put out and have all my mods that are currently broken or buggy fixed, then I'll be adding the fixed fish traps so that you can only place them in water as originally designed and as I documented a month or so ago. I just want to make sure to do an extra round of thorough testing with this one using the latest patch before I implement it :)

  • Updated to match latest version of the dev kit and game.

Dev kit didn't alter anything that this mod alters, so this update is purely a precaution.

  1. Feature Update
    • Removed another wall item blocker. You can now have even more freedom then ever for wall items. I've taken this as far as I can for now, collision revamps may or may not help out further

    • Removed alignment with ground errors for items. This allows a massive increase to being able to place things how you want, all without needing collision changes. In fact, it works even better when used with new collision add-on

  2. Wall Overlap Removal - Explained
    • As of this update, walls can no longer overlap. With this update, the only overlaps remaining are in the highly restrictive build areas such as caves due to me having to remove just about all the blockers for those specific areas.

    • This was always the intention of the mod to not have these overlaps at all, and how the 2nd version was born after I realized how popular that unintentional feature was.

    • The biggest thing this will impact is not being able to build walls on foundation faces (as is a popular feature). For the moment! Keep reading!

    • However, in cunjunction with this mod update, I am releasing my first collision update add-on. More info will be found on the add-on page, but downloading this add-on will allow you to build walls on foundations without having to deal with overlapping issues. Visit the add-on page for more information!

  1. Hotfix
    • I didn't realize this until now, but various places on the map are even more restrictive in what's allowed to be built there then some of the areas I often test in. I was trying something "new" in my recent builds, and in my various testing ground areas, it worked fine. However, that is obviously not the case.

    • So I undid my "new" change (it's all back end stuff) and re-implemented the way I had being able to place items in restrictive areas like before. Should be working now.

    • Important note about these areas. (This is also discussed in my bug thread in the discussion area.) In order to be able to build in these highly restrictive areas, I had to remove a lot of blockers. This means that foundation and other types of buildings WILL overlap in these types of areas. I can't really control that, for now. I am actively working on trying to improve on this. Normal build zones will only see wall types overlap.

  2. Feature Update
    • In today's update, I've turned off 2 blockers with regards to vertical based items. This makes it so you can have more freedom on where you can place banner types and other vertical objects.

    • This does mean that you will be able to place a banner on the ground (all you will see is the top part of the banner as the flag itself will just fall into the ground). Just one of those "comes with the territory" things.

  • Re-enabled (or re-disabled, depending on your point of view) the ability to build base assets in an area where you would normally receive a "blocking spawnpoint" error. I thought having this enabled causing extra overlaps, but I must have tested it weird during my marathon yesterday. Anyhoo, this rarely comes up but it helps in certain situations.

  • Updated to match newest dev kit and version of the game. Once again again, can build in non-buildable locations. (Funcom insists on changing a particular blueprint every other patch that breaks this ha ha)

  • Made it so that only wall types will overlap with each other now (and other things, like walls can be built "ontop" of fences if you want to have a fence in front of your wall). Foundations and other types should no longer overlap with each other (so no more infinite foundations). Yes, this is the best that I can do for the time being (or until Funcom adds more code for me to play with) until/if I can find a viable alternative to updating collisions mod wise.

There IS an exception to this rule though. In caves, I had to open the floodgates to allow building in these specific areas. Foundations and such will still overlap each other here like before. I CANNOT fix this without additional code from Funcom.

  • Disabled allowing of building types (foundations, stairs, etc) in spawn point blocking areas. I thought having this disabled was helping with the overlap issue, when I must have tested it wrong as it doesn't affect the overlap issue what so ever. Re-enabled in the next version to come out.

  • Bug fix release for item based assetts (doors, shrines, torches, etc) in vanilla non-buildable locations. Should now be able to build like normal in these areas again.

  • Updated with newest dev kit to match existing version of game

  • Items should no longer go poof from your game. If your existing save already had this bug due to new version and this mod conflicting, and you didn't revert to an older save/create a backup of a save that took place before the newest official patch, the items will likely remain gone. There isn't anything I can do about that.

  • Otherwise, subscribing to the mod once again, and reverting to a save that was pre-official patch, will result in your items being there as intended. If you have a safe save with items in place already and were playing without the mod, your items shouldn't go poof.
