Published v.217

*Updated Crude Focus again.

- Increased mana cost scaling due to damage output.
- Added a 1.5 second cooldown between casts.

Update: 2 Jun, 2013 @ 3:35am

Published v.216

*Updated Crude Focus slightly.

- Tier 2 bonus now adds a player-level based magical damage increase. This is calculated on top of the base damage. Crude Focus may need to be nerfed damage-wise due to this, but I will need feedback either way.

- Tier 3 bonus now adds a "Percent Damage Taken" modifier. Essentially when Crude Focus makes contact, the enemy will now take extra damage from all attacks. Again, I may need to nerf the effect or nerf the overall damage output.

*Darklite Class updated very slightly.

- Still a massive WIP. Added some more 1 rank skills.

Internal Changes, nothing noteworthy.

Published v.207

Medium Skill update.

Maelstrom:
- Tier 2 bonus changed.
- Abyssal Fiends/Shadowlings will be summoned if this skill deals fatal damage. This can be used to cause mass summon spam as the skill is a very wild AoE.

The main reason is that prior to this Abyssal Leak was the only real skill that summoned your allies. With only one skill, it made the appropriate passive kind of pointless. By allowing another skill to summon these little beasts the passive becomes MUCH more viable.

This should allow a reasonable class gameplay change for some people.

As a reminder, tier 2 is 10 ranks. Considerable investment in Maelstrom is still needed.

Darklite Class introduced.
Currently in Alpha stage for now.

Skill updates will very likely be slow due to work commitments.

Skill #1:
-Darkside.
Darkside is a sacrificial skill that eats away at your own max health (temporary) to eat away at a mob's max health (perm). Early ranks do a low HP % but are bolstered by a Weapon DMG %.

Higher ranks will increase the HP % and lower the Weapon DMG % until you and your target lose 50% of your/their max HP with no Weapon DMG % added on.

This makes it an important choice as to whether or not to rank up the skill. You will suffer more per rank, but so will the enemy - in most cases. If your Weapon DMG is very high, then the lower ranks will be better instead.

The skill lowers your upper HP limit for 10 seconds. This means you cannot heal out of this in order to abuse it.

I strongly suggest not saving and quiting whilst under the effects of this skill.

Published v.194

Major skill update:
- Every single layout file has been cloned and moved to a unique directory.

This will prevent any instance where another mod author editing the vanilla source layouts may cause issues with this class.

The only skills not moved in this update were Missiles, Barrage & Death Toll - They had been done much earlier.

Making all of the skills standalone like this is a good step forward.

Published v.191

More text fixes to Abyssal Ritual/Death Ritual.

Temporary class icons added - As I said, these are nothing to get excited about.
- Male is an edited Arbiter Icon.
- Female is an edited Engineer Icon.

If anyone feels like contributing class icons, I would be most appreciative!

Published v.188

Some text fixes to the various abyssal summon skills.
Shadowling -> Abyssal Fiend corrected
Bane Breath - > Abyssal Leak
Death Ritual -> Abyssal Ritual
Shadowling Brute -> Abyssal Brute

Temporary class icons are completed, but I am having issues adding them in.
No need to get excited over them, they are nothing fancy - just fairly edited vanilla icons.

Quick re-publish as Steam told me there may be an issue related to Workshop T's & C's - doesn't mean anything to you people, don't panic ;)

Update: 5 May, 2013 @ 12:03am

Published v.186

Completely tore down and rebuilt Shield of Vengeance from the ground-up.

1. Removed all Affixes and deleted all ranks.
2. Investigated prior Affixes to see why they spammed the skill description, and to see if there was a cleaner way to achieve the same result.

There certainly was!

The previous method had each rank containing about 5 Affixes. Each Affix consisted of 3 Effects, and then each Affix also had about 3 other entries nested below them. Too messy!

3. Instead of adding several different Effects to each address Fire, Poison, Phys, etc - I simply created an Effect that responded to "All" damage types. This is significantly cleaner and easier to work with.
4. Upped the skill rank to a maximum of 15.
5. Added Skill Tier bonuses.
1 - Life Steal. This improves each rank capping around rank 13/14.
2 - Damage increased. Initially 10% boost, capping at 15% at rank 15.
3 - Max HP temporarily increased by 15% along with all other bonuses.
6. Increased the mana cost for balance sake.

Duration is still 20s, Cooldown is still 70s.
You have lost Damage Absorption in all of this, but at rank 15 it caps out at 80% resistance to ALL damage + all the other bonuses. You are much better off with this. It is also MUCH cleaner and simpler now!

Published v.155

Overhauled Death Toll:

1. Again, removed the ghost +0 Poison Damage and replaced with appropriate custom Affix.
2. Nested said Affix so it should apply correctly.
3. Replaced Animation, changed from kick.
4. Dramatically increased Mana Cost, if feedback suggests it, I can lower this again.
5. Added slight cooldown to avoid accidental spamming and subsequent mana shortage as a result.

Feedback for Death Toll wanted:
- Is mana cost too high now? Starts at about 49 cost per cast now, where it was in the high 20's before. Should mana cost be lowered and a longer cooldown enforced? Or did you like it with 20-ish cost and no cooldown as it was before?

- Is Poison Damage too much or too little? The straight +xxx Poison damage is based on level, but can be lowered. The over time can be changed if needed too. Feedback!

- Or is everything fine with Death Toll now?

Also changed Barrage animation.
