[The April Balance Update 2: Cruise Control]

Further improved random character select functionality.

Update: 1 Apr, 2021 @ 1:11am

[The April Balance Update]

Standardized Normals (for ease of use).

Upgraded card backs (for aesthetic reasons).

Improved randomized character selection process (feels random enough to me).

Introduced a minor playmat-related bug.

Threw away Super Skull Man 33 (for verisimilitude).

Now you have the high ground.

Buffed Hakumen.

Update: 8 Mar, 2021 @ 1:27am

[The Random Update]

Corrected flawed random seeding. No, the universe doesn't want you to main Polar Knight, I just screwed up setting the random seed.

Little bit of groundwork for later reimplementation of character-specific announcements.

Update: 3 Mar, 2021 @ 1:17am

[The Choke Hold Update]

Fixed an error on the Alternate / Reskinned version of Gabrek's Choke Hold.

Added keyboard shortcut guide to the on-screen Notes for [No Item] (the default, timerless mode).

Did some other stuff. Mostly minor code changes. Not much of note yet.

Update: 5 Feb, 2021 @ 1:10pm

[The Sans Update]

Slight performance enhancements for playmats, especially at load time. (No, this is not the playmat update. That comes later.)

Slight code improvements for some aspects of the select screen. Future proofing, better reference watermarks, that sort of thing.

Bang's theme song should play more reliably.

Fixed some incorrect card names.

Oh, and added experimental "Reference Areas".

That should be everything important.

[The Select Screen Update] Well, perfect is the enemy of good. In no particular order:

Exceed: BlazBlue is now in the module!

The revolutionary new character select screen has been implemented!
- Jemina was already here, but she is now much more obvious than before!
- Cosmetic enhancements and/or templating improvements are now available for Red Horizon's entire cast, plus a few others!
- Characters now respect a toggle that represents your current Normals; they generate with the appropriate Normals already built-in!
- Characters also generate with set-aside cards already set aside, plus two full references!
- References are now watermarked to make them easier to track!
- Bag of Lag support is now built in to the select screen!
- Secrets are more secret!

Annoying text pops up more often than before! Not sure if it's too annoying, still trying to figure that out.

Module size has been reduced by more than 75%!

Broken links in the refcards have been fixed!

Groundwork is being laid for additional features, enhancements, improvements, and optimizationings!

More updates coming soon, but this build seems pretty stable, so... REBEL ONE, ACTION!

* Thanks to Zheryn for the idea, Moriatti for the art, and attackofmilk, PolterGhost, and many others for their suggestions, improvements, and assistance in testing!

Update: 3 Nov, 2020 @ 12:41am

Minor corrections to the POTUS season.

Update: 2 Nov, 2020 @ 11:39pm

[The POTUS Third Term Update] The POTUS season returns in triumph, just in time for election day. I don't want to poke the current political climate with a ten-foot pole, but I did promise long ago that I would eventually restore the "lost" fourth season of Exceed to its rightful place (i.e., hidden in plain sight). This seemed an appropriate time to do it.

- No new entries have been added to the cast, but their character cards have been reviewed and edited for templating to bring them up to spec for modern Exceed.
- This does, sadly, include revising Grover Cleveland to no longer use the Tag rules. (Instead, he simply appears twice in the cast.)
- "Lame Duck" Exceed Modes have been provided to those who had no successor during their own term of office.
- All of their decks have been rebuilt from the ground up. "Extensive" testing was done to "ensure" that they "perform" "effectively" and are "properly" "balanced".
- FDR might not be top tier any more. Obama probably still is.
- The reference generators still don't actually work on them, but they usually fail in a way that's almost useful.

(Also, two other secrets were added, one easier to find than the other.)

Update: 23 Oct, 2020 @ 10:03pm

Secret playmat variants are now properly supported.

Added two new playmats, courtesy of zain!

Starting to get worried. How many playmats is too many? Will they rise up and overthrow us? They grow bolder by the day.

Update: 23 Oct, 2020 @ 2:17pm

Quickly finished the things I left unfinished in the last update:

- Multiple playmat variants are now properly supported.
- Secret playmat variants are now adequately supported.
- Added one new playmat, courtesy of Moriatti!
- Foreshadowed mysterious upcoming changes by adding this line to the change notes.
