Version 1.5 Compatibility Patch

INSTALLATION AND LAUNCH

If you already installed the mod using the symbolic link all files will be updated automatically via the Steam workshop.
If you are not using the symbolic link you need to delete the "damocles" folder from your root directory (Where the bms.exe is located) and copy the new content from the workshop item into it again.

Compatibility notes:
-Black Mesa: Damocles is now fully compatible to the 1.5 version of the game
-Updated UI to the latest version
-Significantly updated visual quality of the outdoor areas in chapter 2 to the latest game standard
-Fixed shiny models
-Disabled Workshop mounting to prevent content from conflicting with other workshop items

General fixes and improvements:
-Reworked soundtrack in the final boss sequence in bm_damo01c
-Reworked soundtrack in bm_damo03b1
-Improved Daniels and marine AI during the APC-fight in bm_damo01c
-Improved performance in the prototype chamber in bm_damo03
-Improved combat in bm_damo03b1 when escaping from the pump station
-Improved soundscape in bm_damo03c to be less offensive
-Improved visual quality throughout the game
-Improved playerguidiance and indication in certain areas
-Fixed marines in bm_damo00 are taunting the player before beeing provoked in some way
-Fixed missing sounds during the serverroom-chaos in bm_damo00
-Fixed vortigaunts performing evading and shockwave attacks during earlygame to make them less powerful
-Fixed a gamebreaker that causes the mortar strike sequences in bm_damo01c to fail under certain conditions
-Fixed a gamebreaker in bm_damo01c that leads to AI missbehavior which may causes certain scripts or events to fail
-Fixed various AI glitches in bm_damo01c which caused massive script fails and unexpected wrongdoing (Again...)
-Fixed VRA card in bm_damo03c may break when inserted into a keypad
-Fixed incorrect hud hint in bm_damo03d when using the fire extinguisher
-Various other fixes

Known issues:
-The new AI sometimes reduces combat experience in certain areas (This might get improved with future updates of the Black Mesa main game)


IMPORTANT

After installing this patch Black Mesa: Damocles is no longer playable in older versions of the Black Mesa game so please ensure that you have the latest version of Black Mesa installed.
As this patch includes changes to all 14 maps, older savegames of any map are also no longer compatible after the patch is installed.

If you are not using the symbolic link you need to delete the "damocles" folder from your root directory (Where the bms.exe is located) and copy the new content from the workshop item into it again.

-Included 1.0 features (Masked marine VO, new AI support, etc...)

-Fixed a gamebreaker that causes the trap sequence in bm_damo01b to fail

-Fixed an issue that causes marines in the mini boss fight in bm_damo01c to leave the combat area and remain in idle / fear state
-Reworked Daniel's AI behavior in certain areas to prevent him from attempting suicide acts (This mostly happend when approaching the Damocles Facility in bm_damo01c)
-Reworked HECU behavior in bm_damo01c to be less defensive during the final sequence
-Improved performance in the cooling resevoir in bm_damo02a
-Improved performance in bm_damo03b1
-Fixed a gamebreaker in bm_damo03d that causes a powercell on the maintenance platform to become locked forever
-Various other fixes

Known issues:
-Marines in the serverroom in bm_damo00 sometimes use "Taunt" voicelines in idle state

Xen Compatibility Patch

INSTALLATION AND LAUNCH

If you already installed the mod using the symbolic link all files will be updated automatically via the Steam workshop.
If you are not using the symbolic link you need to delete the "damocles" folder from your root directory (Where the bms.exe is located) and copy the new content from the workshop item into it again.

New UI launch:
Steam: Right click on Black Mesa in your steam library -> Properties -> Set launch options and type "-game damocles -newgameui"
Filesystem: Launch the damo_newUI.bat (damo_newUI.sh for linux users)


Compatibility notes:
-Updated all maps to the latest version of the game (Older savegames are now incompatible!)
-Various visual fixes (shiny models, purple muzzle lights, missing models, etc...)
-Fixed missing sounds in some areas
-Fixed various game breaking issues and crashes under the latest version of the game
-Fixed nextgen bloom intensity
-Improved colorcorrection and fixed some transition issues

New content:
-Support for new UI
-included a new asset into some maps to provide useful information for puzzle solving and about the story
-Completely reworked soundtrack in bm_damo00, bm_damo01a and bm_damo01b
-Reworked some first person cutscene animations and transitions
-Improved the fire extinguisher mechanic in bm_damo03d (This is part of a new game mechanic which will become more relevant later in Phase II)

-Reworked various clipping brushes throughout the game
-Fixed a bug that allows the player to insert the reactor stage 2 powercell before the fire is out

IMPORTANT

Unfortunatly patching maps breaks savegame compatibility. This means that you cannot continue savegames, but as a workaround it is still possible to load the savegame and then restart the map via the "changelevel" console command.
You can always start a specific chapter from the "New Game" menu.

-Added more startup ammo to (bm_damo03) on new game start
-Slightly reduced alien grunt melee attack range

Bugfixes and impovements:
-Improved AI navigation in (bm_damo01c)
-Reworked a sensor door mechanism in (bm_damo02a) to prevent AI inteferences
-Fixed a bug that might break the pressure plate mechanism at the pump stations
-Fixed an issue where the player was able to break the reactor platform turn controls
-Fixed an issue where the fire extinguisher sequence won't play under certain conditions
