-recent examination of scenarios has confirmed that changes to ARMA III over the last 3 years have resulted in music no longer playing properly; reevaluation of scenarios is required

OPFOR: Brotherhood of Nod:

-incorrect base class reference caused an error with the African and Middle Eastern Forces’ BRDM-2 ATGM to fire ballistic rounds instead of antitank missiles. This has been corrected, and likewise yields some enlightenment on how base class references and models can interact (or fail to interact properly)

-Al Jazeera and Sudan TV (Sudan National Broadcasting Corporation (SNBC)) media organization flags and posters added in preparation for scenario under development.

-existing assets for Red Cross icons utilized to make Red Cross flag and map marker available.

OPFOR: Republic of Iraq:

-Mi-171Sh (Unarmed and Rockets) added. Compared to the Mi-8 variants, this type transports fewer soldiers, but has a pylon variant that mounts an additional rocket pod and includes a rear gunner. Iraqi forces were noted to use both helicopter types.

-helicopter crews added to all Mi-8s and variants.

-composition Groups Mi-8MT (Medevac) Team added. This team incorporates an Mi-8MT (Medevac) Helicopter with 4 Iraqi Army Combat Medics as an alternative to an attempt to force a Combat Medic into an Mi-8MT (Medevac) Helicopter based on an existing entry found in the CUP Vehicles Mi-8 configuration, which ultimately failed after several attempts.

-compositions Groups redefined and reclassified to better conform to ARMA III naming convention. Some groups renamed accordingly.

-all compositions Groups are now identified with the appropriate NATO “OPFOR” strategic icons.

-Republican Guard Mi-24D Hind Element was not available in the 3Den Editor due to a misnamed class label. This has been corrected. All Mi-24D Hind Elements now have an established minimum and maximum altitude for Zeus deployment.

-Red Guard Minigunner (Type 56) backpack discovered to be erroneously appearing in Virtual Arsenal. This has been corrected.


INFOR: Republic of the Sudan:

-VAZ-2103 (Police) car reassigned to Cars subcategory.

-MTVR truck (standard) cargo contents adjusted: Binoculars and rifles removed. Maximum ammo count reduced.

-AH-64 Apache texture specifically defined. “United States Army” text removed from hull.

-custom crews applied to all UH-1H helicopters. Crew Chiefs now man the gunner positions.

-Nod stitched patch with red cross and black border add-on patch added (Source: https://www.amazon.com/Medic-Cross-First-Morale-Patch/dp/B07K4R88VJ/). All Nod Combat Medics (except the Black Hand Elite Combat Medic) now adopt this patch.

Mod:

-all Editor Subcategories now conform to the traditional ARMA III naming convention, i.e., “Heavy Armor” renamed to “Tanks,” “Wheeled Vehicles” divided into “Cars” and “Trucks,” “Aircraft” divided into “Helicopters” and “Planes.” Adjustments to ensure conformity will be made as time goes on.

-we have discovered the means to properly assign helicopter pilots and crew chiefs to their respective stations (i.e., avoiding assigning helicopter pilots to gunner positions), specifically with the CH-47 Chinook. Any existing or newly-added CH-47 Chinooks will have this correction applied and Crew Chiefs will now man the weapons.

-all A-10 textures have been updated and expanded thanks to contributions from RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod.

-all updated textures have had their preview images adjusted as they are found.

-all CH-47 and AH-64 textures have had the “United States Army” text markings removed.

-some Faction configurations adjusted to mark faction entries with identifying flag – the effect is unknown.

-M113A3 textures updated thanks to RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod. M113A3 vehicle model is the former CUP Vehicles edition and requires a model update. Textures will randomize between RevanSithLord and F1R3STR1K3’s contributions.

-M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System added with textures created by RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod, but vehicle is unavailable until “Standardization” forces are brought online.

-initial configuration of Factions entries has been adjusted to include flag images and ‘side’ entries.


OPFOR: Soviets:

-Mi-24D Hind added with custom crew, cargo, and textures created by RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod.

-BTR-40 cargo now includes RPG-7s with extra rockets, backpacks, and Makarov PM sidearms.


OPFOR: Irish Republican Army:

-customized cargo applied to Offroad truck.


OPFOR: Brotherhood of Nod:

-M2A2 Bradley, Kamaz (Transport, covered, Ammo, Fuel, and Repair), and CH-47 Chinook (standard and VIV) added with textures created by RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod.

-M1126 M2 CROWS Stryker added with textures created by RevanSithLord of the Sword of Nod and Brotherhood of Nod, but vehicle is unavailable until “Standardization” forces are brought online.

-UAZ texture relocated; texture is now accessible as indicated in the Vehicle Appearance menu.

BLUFOR: Global Defense Initiative:

-M113A1 Armored Personnel Carrier added to European, African, and United States GDI forces.

-D-30, BMP-2, T-72, BM-21 added to Russian, European, African, and Middle Eastern GDI forces.

Russian Forces:

-T-72 camouflage changed to adopt actual Russian camouflage. Base model switched to T-72 of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.


BLUFOR: Allies:

-3Den Editor Subcategories will adopt the standard naming convention as closely as possible, with “Wheeled Vehicles” divided into “Cars” and “Trucks.” All antiaircraft platforms have been assigned to the “Anti-Air” subcategory. All vehicles should now be assigned to the proper subcategory.

-issue with M72 LAW failing to load into certain vehicle cargoholds has been resolved.

-texture randomization on the MTVR trucks is not working properly, but both camouflage schemes are accessible.


OPFOR: Republic of Iraq:

-Podnos 2B14 redesignated “Podnos 2B14 Mortar.”

-T-72 and BM-21 camouflage changed to adopt all-green pattern.

-base model of T-72 switched to T-72 from Sahrani Liberation Army.

-Mi-24D Hind camouflage references CUP texture files rather than extracted camouflage pattern.
