Update 8

- Heart Failure (that collapse symptom we all love) is now known as Cardiac Arrest
- Stroke is now a Neurology diagnosis
- Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is now a General Surgery diagnosis
- Changed treatment of PAD from Cardiac Surgery to Clot Preventing Drugs
- Treatment of Stroke (TPA) can now be prescribed by neurologists
- Clot Preventing Drugs can now be prescribed by general surgeons
- Antivirals can now be prescribed everywhere
- Antidiarrheals can now be prescribed everywhere (this should drastically reduce incidence of severe dehydration)
- Thrombolytics can now be prescribed by neurologists
- Antihypertensives can now be prescribed everywhere
- Increased time it takes for diarrhea to lead to severe dehydration (formerly known as Exhaustion)
- Increased time it takes for Arterial Stenosis to cause collapse
- Removed possibility of Fainting from the Concussion diagnosis (too many concussions were ending up in ICU)

Update: 5 Aug, 2020 @ 9:12am

- Anti Seizure Medication can now be given in the Emergency Department

- Added missing treatments to a large number of symptoms that would never get ordered automatically by your doctors.

- Increased time it takes for Pleural Effusion to cause a collapse

- Increased Hazard level of "Palpitations" and "Head Injury" from Medium to High to give these patients more priority. This will lead to less collapses due to doctors neglecting patients with serious underlying hidden symptoms.

- Congestive Heart Failure can now be detected by Urgent Echo

- Peptic Ulcers are less likely to lead to "Internal Bleeding".

- Changed collapse symptom of Internal Bleeding from Septic Shock to Hypovolemic Shock.

Update: 1 Aug, 2020 @ 6:00pm

Update is compatible with Patch 29. I revisited every single symptom, main symptom and diagnosis in the game.

- Changed the Diagnosis Occurrence chance of nearly 60-70 % of the diagnoses in the game.

- Added a new Diagnosis Occurrence value "Very Rare". Without this mod, the game only has Common, Uncommon and Rare.

- Tweaked the values of Uncommon and Rare. Any diagnosis labelled as Uncommon or Rare will be far less likely to show up now. Rare diseases like Pulmonary Anthrax or Cholera will truly be rare.

- Changed the name of the symptom "Exhaustion" to "Severe Dehydration".

- Patients will no longer collapse from any of the following symptoms in this mod; having these symptoms can LEAD to another symptom that causes a collapse if they aren't treated after a period of time. They are:

- Dyspnea ----> Leads to Respiratory Failure (collapse)
- Palpitations ----> Leads to Heart Failure (collapse)
- Dehydration -----> Leads to Severe Dehydration (collapse)

In the vanilla version of the game, so many patients seem to immediately collapse before being seen by a doctor due to the above 3 symptoms. Patients would drop to the ground and trigger the collapse script and end up hogging up valuable Trauma Center and ICU beds. In this version of the mod, the player now has a chance to prevent these symptoms from leading to the more serious (and realistic) collapses.

- Changed the collapse parameters of 44 Main Symptoms and 19 Symptoms.

- Most of the symptoms that lead to Heart Failure will now take significantly longer before they trigger this collapse. This brings the amount of Code Blues (Heart Failure) to a much more realistic amount every day.

Many of the "Main Symptoms" (the defining symptom of any particular diagnosis that must be treated for the patient to be considered cured) lead to collapse symptoms that just don't make sense from a realism stand point. In many cases I tweaked the time it takes before that symptom leads to it's associated collapse symptom. However, in some cases I completely removed the associated collapse symptom if I felt like it didn't make sense or changed it to something else.

Update: 6 Nov, 2019 @ 11:08pm

Updated the mod to be compatible with the latest Halloween update.

Update: 3 Oct, 2019 @ 3:45pm

Updated treatment string table to make it compatible with Sexual Health. The issue was that both mods had identical string table IDs in the database. A special thanks to Jan from Oxymoron for helping Moomin and I out with our modding struggles!

Update: 3 Oct, 2019 @ 11:18am

Had to rollback the mod to the original version. The new treatment for Pneumothorax and Pancreatitis ended up breaking after I updated the mod to make it compatible with "Sexual Health". I'm going to have a chat with Moomin the maker of "Sexual Health" and resolve the conflict between the mods. In the meantime this is fully functional again. Not compatible with Sexual Health for the time being

Update: 2 Oct, 2019 @ 10:06am

Made additions to StringTableEnTreatments.xml to make this mod compatible with "Sexual Health" mod.

Update: 28 Sep, 2019 @ 12:57pm
