v1.10
- Ascenion path perks are now properly intermediate perks and require taking two other perks first instead of only one. Taking them also automatically gives you the opener of the related tradition for free. This is helps the AI to not miss out on the tradition tree it just unlocked.
- Renamed Grasp the Void into Stellar Travelers and made it into an intermediate perk. It now requires 2 other ascension perk and Hyperlane Breach Points technology and gives Hyperspace Slipstreams as a permanent research option. Additionaly it no longer gives -20% Starbase Influence Cost, but now gives -50% instead of -25% Gateway & Hyper Relay Build Cost.
- Added a new perk called Grasp the Void that gives +5 Starbase Capacity, -20% Starbase Influence Cost and the Stellar Expansion technology as a permanent research option.
- Added alternate conditions to allow gestalt empires to pick Galactic Contender and Defender of the Galaxy because they don't have access to Xeno Diplomacy and Xeno Relations technologies. They now require Autonomous Agents technology to take Galactic Contender and Embodied Dynamism to take Defender of the Galaxy.
- Shared Destiny now gives gestalt empires Autonomous Agents as a permanent research option instead of Xeno Diplomacy.
- Bugfix: Rogue Servitors can now take Arcology Project.
- AI empires with the Void-Dwellers origin or Environmentalist civic will no longer pick Mastery of Nature or Arcology Project perks.

v1.9
- Removed all changes to ascension paths.
- Detox now requires Terrestrial Sculpting instead of Climate Restoration and gives +10% Habitability, -50% Terraforming Cost and Climate Restoration and Ecological Adaptation as permanent research options. AI has also been taught not to take the perk if it doesn't have any toxic terraforming candidates within its borders.
- Eternal Vigilance now gives -50% Defense Platform Cost & Upkeep instead of -25%, but it no longer gives +25% Defense Platform Damage.
- Grasp the Void now gives -20% Hyper Jump Charge Time and -25% Gateway and Hyper Relay Build Cost instead of +5 Starbase Capacity.
- Master Builders now gives -25% Megastructure Build Cost instead of +10% Metallurgist Output. This stacks with the new effect of Grasp the Void, so if you take both perks your Gateways and Hyper Relays will be 50% cheaper.
- If you have the Knights of the Toxic God origin, Imperial Prerogative now gives you Colonial Centralization as a permanent research option instead of Orbital Habitats, because you already got Orbital Habitats as a permanent research option from the origin.

Update: 22 Sep, 2022 @ 11:33am

- Xeno Compatibility again provides +33% Immigration Pull and requires Gene Tailoring instead of giving it as a research option and requiring Genome Mapping and Xeno Diplomacy. It's mostly back to how it is in the unmodded game, the only difference being you don't have to be xenophile to take it and it now gives Morphogenetic Field Mastery (Xenomorph Armies) as a permanent research option. AI will also still only take it if it's Fanatic Xenophile.

Update: 29 May, 2022 @ 1:58am

v1.6
- Intermediate perks now require 2 basic perks to be selected first instead of only 1.
- Advanced perks now require 4 basic or intermediate perks to be selected first instead of only 2.
- Arcology Project, Master Builders, Synthetic Age are now intermediate perks.
- Master Builders now gives +10% Metallurgist Output and if you have the Utopia DLC it gives Science Nexus as an additional free technology, but no longer gives any megastructures as permanent research options. If you don't have Utopia DLC, but you do have MegaCorps DLC you get either Strategic Coordination Center or Mega Art Installation instead of Science Nexus for your second free technology (depending on whether you are militaristic/genocidal or not). AI empires with the Shattered Ring origin now love taking this perk so they can restore the other two sections of their shattered ring ASAP.
- Mind Over Matter remains an intermediate perk for most empires, but is considered basic for spiritualists and those who own the Zroni relic. It also no longer gives bonus happiness or Telepathy as a free technology, but instead gives Telepathy as a permanent research option. Finally, spiritualists do not require Psionic Theory technology to take the perk, but if they don't have it yet they get Psionic Theory instead of Telepathy as the permanent research option.
- Transcendence remains an advanced perk for most empires, but is considered intermediate for spiritualists and those who own the Zroni relic. It also no longer gives Precognition Interface as a free technology. Note that the Teachers of the Shroud origin requires you to be spiritualist, so it's accounted for.
- Voidborne remains an intermediate perk for most empires, but is considered basic for Void Dwellers
- Consecrated Worlds no longer provides +20% Priest Output or gives Psionic Theory as a permanent research option. Instead it now provides +2 Physics and Society Research from Priests and gives Holographic Rituals as a permanent research option.
- Enigmatic Engineering is now a basic perk again and has no prerequisites. It gives Gravitic Sensors as research options instead of Positronic AI or Positronic Implants. Reduced Encryption bonus from +4 to +2, but it now also gives +10 Chance to Evade (base evasion).
- Eternal Vigilance no longer gives +100% Starbase and Defense Platform Hull. Instead it now gives +25% Starbase Damage, -50% Defense Platform Cost and an additional +5 Defense Platforms Cap (+10 total). Theoretically compatible with mods that restore medium and large defense stations, but not tested. Hint: Defense Platforms can be built on Outposts.
- Executive Vigor is now a basic perk again and has no prerequisites. Edict Cost & Upkeep bonuses reduced from -30% to -20%. It now gives Colonial Bureaucracy as a guaranteed research option instead of Colonial Centralization or Galactic Administration.
- Galactic Contender bonus damage increased from +33% to +50%. It no longer requires any technologies and does not give any technologies as permanent research options.
- Galactic Force Projection now gives +1 Max Influence from Power Projection (bonus influence for having more naval capacity than sprawl).
- Grasp the Void now gives Hyperlane Breach Points as a permanent research option instead of Orbital Habitats.
- Imperial Prerogative no longer reduces sprawl from systems and the Stability bonus has been reduced from +10 to +5. Now gives Orbital Habitats as a permanent research option instead of Colonial Bureaucracy. Megacorps are allowed to take the perk.
- Interstellar Dominion no longer reduces War Exhaustion or gives Interstellar Campaigns as a permanent research option. Instead it now gives -20% Starbase Influence Cost (restored unmodded effect), -75% sprawl from systems, +50% Mining and Research Station Output and Zero-G Refineries and Zero-G Laboratories as a permanent research options (and it keeps -20% Claim Influence Cost).
- Mastery of Nature now gives Weather Control Systems as a permanent research option instead of Terrestrial Sculpting. Removed -25% Terraforming Cost and restored Influence cost of Mastery of Nature decision.
- Nihilistic Acquisition is again restricted to authoritarian, xenophobic and gestalt empires. Removed +10% Worker Pop Resource Output bonus. If you have Barbaric Despoilers civic it gives an additional +10% Slave Pop Resource Output (+20% total). Now gives non-gestalt empires Neural Implants and Thrall-Worlds as permanent research options instead of Artificial Moral Codes.
- Fixed megacorps being unable to take Shared Burdens.
- If you have Feudal Society or Franchising civic (which eliminate loyalty penalty for having too many vassals), Shared Destiny perk provides additional +1 Envoys (+3 Envoys total) and +100 Subject Trust Cap instead of eliminating loyalty penalty for having too many vassals. Note that perk effects are fixed when you take it and won't change if you later reform government and change civics.
- Transcendent Learning now gives +4 Leader Level Cap instead of +2. Also made it compatible with +2 starting level for admirals and generals that PDX added to certain civics (so the combo makes your admirals and generals start at level 5). However, as a consequence now all leaders gain 2 levels when you take the perk instead of all leader below level 3 being promoted to level 3.
- PDX has taught the AI to terraform, so AI empires are now allowed to take terraforming perks again (Hive Worlds, Machine Worlds, World Shaper) and Life-Seeded empires have learned to absolutely love World Shaper (providing they don't have the Idyllic Bloom civic or The Last Baol relic).
- AI empires will now factor in what traditions they picked when choosing perks. Examples: an empire that finished the Unyielding tradition will be more likely to pick Eternal Vigilance perk and an empire that finished the Discovery tradition will be more likely to pick the Technological Ascendancy perk.
- If you play in the English language perks within a category (basic, intermediate, advanced) are now sorted alphabetically. Exception: ascension path perks are still listed at the top whenever available.

- Genocidal empires and Fanatic Xenophobes that control 20% of the galaxy have a significantly increased chance to take Become the Crisis.
- AI megacorps with Naval Contrators civic love the new Lord of War perk.
