The One Where They Rework the Bomb Limit

Aerial Movement
  • Max Jump horizontal speed reduced from 6.5 to 5.5
  • air_max_speed reduced from 6.5 to 5.5
  • Air acceleration reduced from 0.55 to 0.5
  • Air Friction increased from 0.025 to 0.03

Loose bomb impact
  • Fixed a bug that was making loose bomb explosions on impact deal no damage or knock back.

Bomb limit rework
  • Bomb limit now only applies to high fuse bombs (bombs that are not flashing)
  • If the number of high fuse bomb exceeds the set limit (standard is 2), the oldest High Fuse bomb duds and then vanishes without exploding.

New Official Fuse Classifications
  • High Fuse 4-9 seconds, not flashing
  • Low Fuse 2-4 seconds, flashing orange
  • Prime Fuse < 2 seconds, flashing white

Skull bomb Hot fix
  • If Kaboom hits his own skull bombs with melee attacks, they turn back to normal bombs. Use Etalus's stage to play Kaboom Tennis!

The Skull Bomb Rework
  • Skull bombs now ignore enemies and only harm Kaboom
  • Only enemy melee attacks can make skull bombs. Projectile attacks will still knock bombs away, but won't turn them into Skull bombs.

Loose bombs motion hitbox now has a 1.5 second cooldown up from 0.5 seconds.

Dair
Dair start up increased to 21 from 15 frames
Dair vertical boost reduced from 8 to 6 vsp.

Fuse:

  • Melee hits that would drop Kaboom's fuse below the 2 second Prime marker, now set the fuse to the top of the 2 second Prime Fuse. This should make getting a combo interrupted by the bomb a little less frequent and make finishing a combo with a bomb in the enemy's face a little easier.

The Prime Update
v1.4

Base stats:
-Idle Hurtbox increased slightly in height
-Dash speed reduced to 6.5, down from 8.

New Prime Fuse:
-Starting fuse time increased from 8 to 9.
-Low Fuse (flashing orange) starts at 4 seconds left (up from 3)
-Prime Fuse (Flashing white) Starts with 2 seconds left. Attacks that connect the bomb with opponents during these 2 seconds will cause the bomb to explode. This includes thrown bombs that hit a player.

Loose Bomb Changes:
-Knockback and hitstun from bombs in motion greatly reduced. (Really didn't like the off ledge harassing of the moving bombs that don't explode. This will make chucking high fuse bombs a lot less valuable
-Bombs are more adverse to each other and won't share the same space anymore.
-When bomb limit is surpassed and the oldest bomb is set to explode, it shows a minor visual effect of smoke to show that that bomb is going to explode early (along side the white and orange flashing).

Fair + Bair:
-Hitboxes adjust to better reflect the the animation

Dstrong:
-Mines over the ledge no longer blow up when placed. Instead Kaboom is moves backwards as the attack
-Super jump bug fixed

Fstrong+Ustrong+FUstrong:
-Hurt box bug fixed.

Dash Attack:
-Fixed bug where hitbox would continue to exist even during end lag.
