  • Added totem of the hunter, a Royalty specific totem. Requires techprints to research, which can be acquired from most factions. Crafted using two of each totem, and 75 werewolf blood. Using it generates, or upgrades, a psylink.

Update to 1.3.0

TLDR: Balance reworked, early bloodmoon are easier, later bloodmoon are just as hard, bloodmoons less frequent, new stuff. Usually two werewolf pack raids per bloodmoon, sometimes three or four. Two bloodmoon per year, with at most four if the rogue bloodmoon is enabled

  • New Additions:
    • Werewolf pack quest. A new quest that involves slaying a nearby pack of werewolves, allowing you to hunt them outside of bloodmoons.
    • Werewolf caravan ambush. A new incident that can occur during bloodmoons, and is guaranteed to occur if all your colonists are in a caravan. You can no longer hide from Hircine.
    • Rifle of the Hunter. A new hunters weapon to craft with your totems.
    • Wolfsbane bomb belt. A belt item that allows pawns to throw glass vessels, which create a cloud of wolfsbane gas on impact. This gas burns any werewolves caught within.

  • Balance Changes:
    • Scaling werewolf strength. By default any time you survive a bloodmoon Hircine will increase the strength of his hounds.This uses the old 'Blood of Hircine' hediff, and works alongside the original werewolf strength setting.
    • Werewolf packs are overall smaller, roughly 50% of the size they were originally.
    • All three incidents that cause werewolf packs to appear (bloodmoon raids, caravan ambushes, pack quests) have slightly different base scaling. Caravan ambush packs are smaller, whereas the packs encountered in quests are larger.
    • Totem value decreased to 200, from 600
    • Retaliation elixir now burns werewolves for 5 points of damage, from 3.
    • The Gift of the Hunter hediffs now increase a colonists value, by 100 per 10% severity.
    • Assimilated lycanthropy now increases toxic resistance by 25%, and immunity gain speed by 15%.
    • Werewolf speed reduced slightly, to 4.8, you'll still struggle to run from them.
    • Werewolf packs will now dig when leaving.
    • Werewolf packs will now leave when the bloodmoon ends.
    • Marked targets last 4 hours, instead of 2.

  • Default Settings Changes:
    • Maximum number of werewolves per pack decreased to 50.
    • Duration between the cycle bloodmoon increased to 30 days.
    • Duration between the rogue bloodmoon increased to 60 days.
    • Maximum ticks between werewolf pack raids increased to 50,000.
    • Minimum ticks between werewolf pack raids increased to 20,000.
    • Reduced pack size scaling to 0.5.
    • Lowered the chance a werewolf generates with a gift to 1%.

  • Settings Additions:
    • Classic settings preset, found at the bottom of the mod settings menu.
    • Werewolf strength scaling now increases in increments of 5%.
    • Setting to disable the scaling werewolf strength.
    • Setting to disable the werewolf pack quest.
    • Setting to disable the bloodmoon caravan ambushes.
    • Setting to limit the maximum percentage of buildup a pawn can gain from bloodmoon totems.
    • Setting to modify the percentage of buildup a pawn gains per bloodmoon totem.
    • Setting to enable a letter when werewolf packs appear during a bloodmoon.

  • Misc Changes:
    • Modified mini storyteller art for Hircine slightly.
    • Fix for when a marked animal leaves the map.
    • Multiple description hyperlinks added throughout the mod.
    • Some descriptions modified.
    • The game will now yell at you if the Hounds of Hircine faction is missing when trying to generate a werewolf pack.
    • Redone werewolf trophy texture.
    • Incident defs have been modified to account for several values being moved to the mod settings menu.
    • Incident workers have been modified to account for several values being moved to the mod settings menu.
    • New bloodmoon world comp, used to track the number of bloodmoons you've actually survived.

  • Patches:
    • Two additional VE achievements added.
    • ROM werewolves will now be damaged by elixirs of retaliation, and wolfsbane gas bombs.
