Update: 15 Apr, 2023 @ 8:30pm

- I don't actually know what this update is for. RustyDios sent me some stuff to stick into X2StrategyElement_AlienRewards.uc and it seems reasonable enough.

  • Hit And Slither has been added as an additional Squaddie ability.
  • All of the previous LCPL abilities have moved up one rank to become the new CPL abilities.

  • Executioner at SGT has been replaced by Impulse.

  • Aggression at SSGT has been replaced by Predator.
  • Sting Grenades at TSGT has been replaced by Toxic Nightmare.

Update: 15 Mar, 2023 @ 6:07am

- Alien rewards from Covert Actions are now handed out in a different manner: you should no longer get any duplicate aliens until you've gotten at least one of each in your campaign (this should still respect any user config for limiting which aliens can appear at all). After you have one of each, any further Rescue Rogue Operative missions will reward aliens at random.

(Credit goes to RustyDios for coding this update!)

Update: 23 Jan, 2023 @ 3:19am

- Potential fix for wall breaking still being an always-on passive for Berserker/Andromedon. Be sure to respec any that you have.

Update: 22 Jan, 2023 @ 4:40pm

Big changes for Andromedon and Berserker!

  • Both of them no longer have wall breaking baked in as a passive, which means they no longer automatically break squad concealment when moving. Instead, they have a new ability, "Wallcrasher", which is activated as a free action and grants them the ability to break walls/cover with their movement only for the turn you use it. Moving them while in this state still will break squad concealment regardless of whether you actually break any terrain with them. The new ability is baked into their character templates. I made this change because I was sick of munchkins blubbering about Andromedons and Berserkers """""not being viable""""" with the meta or however they phrased it (I wasn't paying too much attention). This update fixes the thicc duo so hard that I doubt the munchkins will even be mad about that shade I threw.
  • Both of them, as a result of the above change to try to maintain some semblance of balance, have had their infiltration time bumped up higher (either one will take 125% longer to infiltrate compared to one human soldier in Kevlar Armor). Additionally, if you run the Spark Arsenal mod, they will also be easier to detect while concealed, much the same way SPARKs and similarly sized mechanical units are when not running with a BIT.
  • Andromedon Plated and Powered Armors now grant a melee damage bonus (+3 and +6 respectively).
  • Andromedons can now be deployed regardless of injuries.
  • Wake Up Call (Berserker CPL ability) is now called Crackdown, and additionally makes Devastating Blow non-turn-ending (only the standard version, not the dashing version Pain Train grants) as a passive effect in addition to its original function.
  • Pack Alpha (Berserker MSGT ability) no longer makes Devastating Blow non-turn-ending, as Crackdown handles this now. It still retains its main function of granting actions to an ally.
Berserker ability tree changes:
  • Pumped Up at Squaddie has been replaced by both Interrupt (LWOTC version) and Grandstand.
  • Grandstand's old spot at LCPL has been filled by Zone Of Control.
  • Reckless Charge at LCPL has been replaced by Aggression.
  • Executioner at CPL has been replaced by Pain Train.
  • Will To Survive at CPL has been replaced by Thrash.
  • Sucker Punch and Cross Out have traded ranks.
  • Adaptive Bone Marrow at SSGT has been replaced by Brawler.
  • Aggression's old spot at TSGT has been filled by Impact Compensation.
  • Pain Train's old spot at MSGT has been filled by Crusader's Rage.
  • Thrash's old spot at MSGT has been filled by Untouchable.
  • Short version of XCOM deck changes: the new additions include Synaptic Booster, Sprint, Adaptive Bone Marrow, Reinvigorate, Cool Under Pressure, Overkill, Anatomy, Cover Me, Will To Survive, Reckless Charge, Executioner and Take Down.
Andromedon ability tree changes:
  • Wired Up at Squaddie has been replaced by Flush.
  • Charge Servos at LCPL has been replaced by Bloodlet.
  • Grazing Attacks at CPL has been replaced by Executioner.
  • Blast Padding at CPL has been replaced by Formidable.
  • Sensor Overlays at SSGT has been replaced by Manual Override (vanilla version).
  • Rampart at TSGT has been replaced by Neural Damping.
  • Cross Out at GSGT has been replaced by Ventilate.
  • Short version of XCOM deck changes: the new additions include Chasing Fire, Cycling Fire, Soften Up, Surefire Shot, Sensor Overlays, Cross Out, Gas Bomber, Improvise Explosive and Charge Servos.
As usual, I tested nothing so let me know if there's issues.

Update: 22 Nov, 2022 @ 5:22pm

- Set up some new ATSR configs so that Long Watch is properly usable with the "sparkrifle" weapon category (specifically for the Heavy Cannon types). This may mean weird things if you have a Long Watch user using an Autocannon or an Incinerator, but maybe just don't do that?

Update: 14 Nov, 2022 @ 6:00am

- The Frost Necromancer's Frost Corress ability now costs 2 actions.

- Updated a few points in the Frost Corress ability's Localization.
