Major Overhaul Patch 3.0:
- New visuals! The Anointed has received a comprehensive art and animation pass for his idle, walk, and combat idle sprites. His attack skills have also received minor tweaks to ensure that they fit in with the new combat idle.

- Rework to Condemn: Condemn no longer debuffs enemy healing received, but marks the target for 2 full rounds.
- Tweak to Sacred Blade: Sacred Blade no longer heals self on miss, but has +10 ACC to make it less likely to miss. It has also received a slight DMG and CRIT nerf to compensate.
*Condemn was reworked due to the polarizing aspect of full debuffing enemy healing. In most hallway fights, it was useless. In certain boss fights, it would entirely trivialise the challenge of the boss. This change aims to make it more broadly useful overall whilst toning down the cases where it's a little too extreme.
*Sacred Blade healing on miss made it a little too spammy in certain situations. This change aims to bring back the original design whilst buffing ACC and reducing overall damage output to further distinguish it as a defensive option when compared to Zealous Ire.

- Rework to Worn Holy Symbol: Original design scrapped. Now provides a virtue chance buff and several good buffs while virtued.
- Rework to Oath of Judgement: Dodge penalty removed. Now reduces virtue chance and guard duration by 1rd. Now has an additional effect of debuffing healing received on an enemy when using Condemn.
- Rework to Oath of Vengeance: Reworked. No longer reduces the Anointed's healing output to 0 (but reduces it by quite a bit). Now gives a strong DMG buff, an ACC buff to Zealous Ire, and a riposte effect to Sacred Blade.
- Rework to Desecrated Bandana: Mark effect removed. Now adds several blight based effects that turn the Anointed into a DOT focused character when equipped.
- Rework to Resolute Chokuto: Original design scrapped. While equipped, prevents Anointed from being marked. Provides +100% crit vs marked targets, and clears mark from a target on crit. Critical hits now also heal all party members for 3 HP.
- Tweak to Fated Crown: DMG taken debuff and AP penalty to Zealous Ire reduced.
*The original design for Worn Holy Symbol was fairly forgettable, and ended up being pointless when better trinkets became available. This change aims to make it more viable and encourage Virtue playstyle.
*The Oath of Judgement change now re-allows you to debuff enemy healing received with Condemn. As this demands a trinket slot and comes with other penalties, it isn't as problematic as a basekit effect.
*Oath of Vengeance: The original design of this trinket was too polarizing. Completely deleting the Anointed's ability to heal made him unable to save people from Death's Door, which had a bigger effect on the trinket's viability than anticipated. This new rework aims to make him much less effective at healing but still able to take people off Death's Door.
*Desecrated Bandana had to be reworked because it's original design clashed with the Anointed's new basekit abilities.
*Resolute Chokuto had a problem in that it made the Anointed unkillable in certain cases. Heal on riposte hit meant he could be hit to 0 HP only to immediately heal off it. The new rework encourages a completely radical playstyle with some interesting implications.

Balance Patch 2.9:
- Condemn self mark duration is now 3 rounds rather than 2.

*After further evaluation, it has been determined that the amount of benefit gained from Condemn is often times worse than Holy Obligation. Both apply a self mark, but the amount of defensive and offensive buffs that Holy Obligation gives far outweigh the pull and de-stealth on Condemn (except in cases where a pull 3 would neuter an enemy outright, such as vs a bone courtier). As such, Condemn's self mark duration has been bumped to make it a more competitive choice compared to Holy Obligation.

Update: 27 Jan, 2024 @ 5:54pm

Balance Patch 2.8:
- Sacred Blade now scales from healing 2 -> 4 HP instead of 2 -> 3.
- Sacred Blade heal bonus while marked is now always +4, removing double scaling.
- Sacred Blade heal now works on miss as well as hit.

*After further evaluation, it was determined that Sacred Blade was weak in two aspects:
a) In a supportive healer, it was outclassed as self healing option compared to Safeguard
b) In an offensive self mark build, it was outclassed as a damage option compared to Zealous Ire. (Alongside double scaling just being bad.)

These changes should hopefully tip the decision rule to be a little more unclear, and make the skill a reliable choice when on death's door.

Misc Patch 2.7.2:
- Minor tooltip change

Update: 26 Dec, 2023 @ 9:19am

Minor Patch 2.7.1:
- Updated tooltips to reflect changes from Patch 2.7

Update: 26 Dec, 2023 @ 9:02am

Major Balance Patch 2.7:
- Condemn's healing received debuff is no longer guaranteed to hit (it now has the standard 100 -> 140% chance like any other debuff)
- Condemn's healing received debuff no longer scales extremely hard. (Instead of scaling from 70% -> 100% it now scales from 90% -> 100%)
- Condemn's self mark now lasts 2 rounds instead of 1.
- Updated tags

*Generally, Condemn felt like a much weaker option than Holy Obligation in terms of setting up a self mark. This was intentional—Holy Obligation is meant to be the defacto setup skill. However, Condemn fell behind more than intended for its self mark use, and so these changes aim to make it a bit more attractive.
