Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Updated the LOD's on nearly all the meshes for better performance

  • Changed the short beam sockets so that they are closer to where a vanilla building socket would be

    Note: Short Beams don't really serve a purpose that I can find. They are now more of a legacy option. Old versions that need to be replaced also have "- Replace Me" in their name

  • Improved the Diagonal and Vertical Reinforced Strut options.

    Too many things to summarize on those. You can now use them in a variety of ways that you couldn't before, and the single sided is no longer admin only either (it won't float in space like it used to before). Old versions of these pieces have "- Replace Me" in their name.

  • Improved the Basic Wooden Support Diagonal Beam so it doesn't look like its floating in space anymore if the player attempts to build multiple of them together.

  • Changed the DM sound effects on metal buildings to a typical sound effect seen in most DM's in the game (stone breaking)

  • Updated the repair costs & deconstruct returns for all existing buildings.

  • Set all buildings to be Purge targets if they weren't already.

  • Added additional various overlap exceptions as appropriate.

  • Updated health of buildings where appropriate.

  • Updated all the icons with a new Pythagoras Support Beams logo

    I've also added labeling as appropriate to various icons so to make them easier to identify at a glance

    If they have, in the upper right hand corner, an L, S, or W, this is what they mean

    L = Long
    S = Short (Legacy, as previously mentioned)
    W = Wedge Only (Uses the short mesh)

  • Various clean up of residue files

  • Renamed all existing building pieces to shorten them

    This will make them easier to identify what they are when hovering the mouse over their icon, and locating them in the Admin Panel. They now all use the naming conventions of, "PSB - Item Name."

  • Moved all Recipes to the Handcrafted menu

    While Vanilla Decorative Beams use a Carpenter station, I felt that since Pythagoras Beams are buildings (in fact, often they are technically Pillars), they should be crafted the same as any other building.

  • Updated recipes where appropriate

  • Renamed the feats and changed the icon label to something cleverish

Additions
  • Added "Wedge Only" beams specifically for the use of well, Wedges.

    Basically, the short beams just wouldn't work the way that they were meant to because of how socketing works. It basically defaulted to a different socket instead of the pillar socket, which made it so it wasn't properly transferring stability. While you could get "some" stability, you couldn't very easily chain multiple beams together for larger Wedge builds.

    Thus, a pillar socket only Pythat Beam was created, in which the socket is rotated 30 degrees to match the Wedge. When done correctly, it will look like the Pythag Beam will travel a straight line as you add more beams, granting infinite stability as is this mods intention.

  • Added a Diagonal Beam - Wedge Only

    Same deal as above, the normal Diagonal Beam only worked right with the square ceiling. A Wedge version needed to be made to apply proper stability and to look anatomically correct.
