I think we are getting pretty close to finishing. I have all the races back in, well, there are some that are not, the fishmen and some of the animals. I will recheck those areas to see if we have issues. But I am hoping we are close. The Skeleton's are back in, the Hivers and the Fogmen, The Cannibals, though I have changed some of their behaviours. And their diets. Black Desert City and the Error 0xFFFF robots in the Deadlands are normal again. Shek are back in, and the Band of Bones, the Kral.
I have toned down the numbers, in accordance to the plague that wiped so many out. But there are traces of most.
The Holy Nation is almost completely gone, but there are small traces.
The United Cities I have to trim a little as well. That will be next.
But take this new version out for a spin and see what you think. Let me know.

Maintenance update. I had some issues with restoring files that deleted some of the new changes I made. So, this is a reload with the character data returned to normal to see if the rest of the mod is still good. Let me know.

Was able to get most of the races back in, though they will be in smaller numbers than before. There are parts of the UC and Holy Nation and the Shek Empire and the Skeleton Empire that still exist after the sickness wiped out so many people and animals. I have tested for almost 6 hours, but have only seen a little of the world. The Hub, Squin and parts of South Holy Nation and into the Deadlands. I made changes to UC but haven;t gotten that far north yet to see how things look. Let me know what you think and of course if the mod is stable and interesting. Thanks

reverted to last workable version. May 2022.
Others after that have issues.
Sorry. Working on a new version, but for now please stay with the May 2022 version as it is the last with no issues.

1-2-2024 - This has been in work awhile, but wanted to add some items back in smaller increments, like the races, have relations changed a little. Have some weapons weaker, have some groups with lowered stats. Some items changed. Some cities changed. Many are still ruins and the UC is no longer entirely intact. Also there are cities overrun with animals and some cities with hardly anyone protecting them and living there at all.
I am still in the process of trying to test this and see if it causes problems, or if it is fun and workable.
It you like please test it, I suggest alone with a new game so we get a proper read on what works and how it changes gameplay from vanilla.
Included is a save game of mine where the Hub has lost its wall and most of the residents. Just for a flavor change. Hope it makes things a little more desolate feeling.

This is a set of new changes ranging from updates on equipment for the homeless wanderer and weather changes to various biomes, the addition of animals into some of the abandoned cities and wars between various factions trying to take over disputed territory or once stable cities.
I have changed several UC cities residents and status, some are now ruins. I have added some animal populations to territories as well as some of the cities.
Some areas will have animals wars between bonedog wolves and beak-things. I have added back some traces of skeletons and hivers, and cannibals and fogmen. But the Shek and Larger Skeleton race The Southern Hivers are all still lost.

I changed up the items in the homeless spawns to account for the loss of the fogmen, the shek and the skeleton's.
I will keep testing, but hopefully this will play much cleaner than when I first started.
Metal, weapons and tools are still useable. But there are some factions and races that were wiped out by the sickness.

After playing for some time in the no-metal world, I thought it would be better, to go back to the metal world. The world is still devastated, but all research and weapons and tools are still usable.

If someone wants to try the no-metal version you can do that by selecting revert to this version in the change logs.
