Change 6 - 5-11-2022
I updated the stats on the wanderer. Originally it was set at zero, which allowed for negative stats. But by putting 5 with a variable of 5 I can get zero to ten. And no negative stats. So, I changed them.
Also, it occured to me that some people of course may not prefer the no-metal version, and prefer things closer to vanilla. But I wanted to get some feedback before changing it back. Also, it would mean re-doing all the changes, but a no-metal mod separate from the empty world mod would give people a choice. Anyway, if someone has played the mod, could you give me some idea of what you think, and whether the no-metal version is something that would stand on its own, or whether I should just stay with the original idea?

The default values that are available at game start were of course messed up by not having metal available to construct some of them.
I changed most to raw stone and building materials, which is a stone variant used to construct a number of things in Kenshi.
Crossbows and bolts I am leaving as is, with the assumption that they are now made of wood instead of metal.
Some machinery I will be able to cross over, like the loom to make fabric and cloth and clothes.
Armors will be more difficult, but perhaps leather and hard shells used as a metal replacement would have some small armor effect. Though the numbers will be lower than metal values.
Anyway, I hope the mod offers some interesting play. Hope you like it.

No Metal version -

I made a mistake with the small shack and it was not included. So, I went back and got it back in the game.

Also I put the no metal ideas in.

Which means the stone processor to produce building materials costs iron to build the machine itself, So that is no longer possible in this new world where metal is gone.
Which also means the research bench which is made of metal, and most weapons and tools and armors and crossbows and bolts and a lot of research is going to be unreachable.

Perhaps a wooden machine would suffice for some machines that used metal? Next version I will see if I can substitute a wooden material and make them manually powered, so as to bring research and crossbows machinery and looms of a wooden construction that will get those things back into the world.
In getting those back in, it might be fun to just introduce the wooden material and have the player build the machines like before.
Perhaps a weakened metal, like brass could be substitued to produce weapons again? But of poor quality of course and of lower stats. But that is still better than no metal at all. But maybe leaving the world the way it is now is best and just learn to deal with a different set of circumstances than the original game?
Anyway I have to work on that.

note- also if you really don't care for this no metal thing, you can go back to the previous version, where metal still exists, its just a more devastated world than before.

Updated wanderer equipment and made the Hub the default start for the wanderer and dog.

For the second start with the wanderer and dog and 4 goats there are eight start cities -
Bast
The Hub
Swamp Village
Mongrel
Settled Nomads Village (Dreg)
Settled Nomads (Shem)
Dead Fishing Village (Royal Coast)
