Xen's Vanity Sets
Showing 1-5 of 5 entries
Update: 1 Aug, 2023 @ 2:58pm

Before anything else, I firstly want to thank everyone for...uhhhh 13,403 subscribers! Passing 10,000 might not seem like a lot to some, but it’s a major milestone for me and I’m really happy and impressed that just a few vanity items are worth downloading for so many people.

Anyway! 1.4.1 is finally here! “Hopefully, it will have been worth the wait.” Probably not, considering the amount of time everyone waited for me to feel like finishing this compared to how much was actually accomplished. But hey, it’s something, right? Let’s just get into it:

> New Vanity Items! (I’d be concerned if there weren’t.) Preview them in the updated Gallery photo:
- Ultra Recon Squad
- Doom Slayer
- Necromancer
* My recommendation: pair it with some Demon Wings for the full effect
* By the way, all of the Castle Crashers sets use the Knight Leggings for their leg piece, and the tooltip of them
has been edited to mention so
- Ninja Pirate
- Toppat Leader Toppat
- Elden Jar: For when you want to solo the Empress of Light

> Added Journey Mode research/duplication support to all items — only one of each item is required to research

> Added an absolutely beautiful and flawless painting which you can get at the Costume Box for now unless I decide to put it somewhere else. It’s not in the gallery; you’ll just have to find out what it is yourself. But I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
* Expect many more paintings in the future, and a gallery for them by that point

> Sprite polishwork on various sets

> Removed Set Owners from item descriptions, they were just a relic of when the mod was private anyway

> As of a recent discovery of mine, the Corona Australis, Starduster, Final Frontiersman, and Astral Mantle have had their names changed to parts of the “Galactic Headhunter” set — AKA what the set is actually supposed to be called. You’d think I would’ve known that already since it’s the outfit I define myself with but woops
* The internal IDs of all of the set pieces have also been changed correspondingly. What that means is if the game doesn’t automatically resolve it for you, your existing copies of the items will break and you will have to get new ones. Hopefully I never have to do this again…
* The real names of each piece of the outfit are still in their tooltips

> Added funny

> Removed Herobrine

Again, apologies for the long wait. This delay basically represents a year of me rather doing anything else than opening paint.net. I think the main problem is that it’s difficult to try to draw detailed characters on this scale and make them look good enough to my standards and hopes, and that intimidation leads me to procrastinate. So I’m taking away two things from this. Firstly, I’m never setting a date for another update again. This IS a hobby project, after all. Second, whenever I do decide to pick this up, it’ll be to work on sets in my list that I think will be much simpler to draw.

Anyway, thank you everyone for enjoying the mod!

Version v1.4.0.2

So I'm an idiot and I didn't notice an oversight when I posted the last update that makes the Costume Box drop 7 of itself when you break it...woopsies anyway I fixed *that* problem

Update: 1 Jul, 2022 @ 5:18am

Version 1.4.0.1

A small patch to make sure the mod is compatible with the newest tModLoader stable build.
It also adds the Costume Box, which will allow you to obtain all of the items added by the mod without using a spawnmenu. Check the mod description to see how it's made.

Not quite version 1.4, but getting there. Just a little test upload to the Steam Workshop. Evidently it works.
