Update: 23 Aug, 2023 @ 2:16am

  • Various material tweaks and improvements across the board.
  • Model improvements to the skirt.
  • Fixed a seam running down the middle of the cowboy hat.
  • Added secondary armor tinting to the red & black sneakers.
  • Re-named "Red & Black Sneakers" to "Black Sneakers w/ Colored Sole" to reflect the previous change.

Update: 14 Aug, 2023 @ 4:16pm

  • Removed the XComEditor and XComEngine ini files.

Update: 4 Jul, 2023 @ 10:17pm

  • Greatly improved the shape of the bare feet.

  • Improved the shape of the bare hands a bit.

  • The visible seams where the bare hands and feet connect to the body have been fixed (mostly, there's still a few kinks here and there, and the exposed ankles that're part of shoe pairs 5 and 8 are still the same)

Update: 2 Jul, 2023 @ 2:16pm

  • Added necks to the heads which allows them to now follow the head bone instead of the neck bone, making their animations much less stiff.

  • Adjusted the shape and position of the ballistic goggles so you can see more of the wearer's eyes.

  • Fixed some helmet props blocking hair options.

  • Updated the beret materials to prevent a bug where the untintable variants were still getting tinted.

  • Brightened the black variant of glove pair 1 a bit.

The heads were previously following the neck bone because, well, they had no necks.

The neck bone is conveniently located directly on top of the mobian body, so placing the heads on top meant they swiveled around in such a way that they didn't really need a proper neck model.

The heads were also a little out of position to be properly animated by the head bone, they needed to be moved a bit up and forward, which they couldn't due to the lack of necks.

Furthermore, because they followed the neck bone and not the head bone, this made them animate stiffer than usual. You'd see them just kinda jiggle their heads around a little instead of properly moving them like a human soldier would, in some animations.

That's because the primary controller of movement is the head bone. The neck bone is secondary, you're not supposed to bind entire heads to that bone.

To fix this, i've implemented a small, stumpy neck to the heads. This allows the heads + props to be lifted into position to be animated by the head bone, making their head movements animate like they're supposed to.

I've also sized down all heads and head props slightly more, as some animations cause them to shove their guns inside their heads ('laid back' attitude, 'suspicious' TLE attitude) It's not enough to 100% fix it, but it should help a little.

Another bonus is that if you're using Re-Sizable Armor you can now have your mobians wear helmets besides the ones included with the pack, since obviously most helmet props are bound to the head bone.

This also doesn't invalidate the screenshots much, thankfully. the heads are just a bit smaller and higher up now compared to the screens i took before this update.

Update: 1 Jul, 2023 @ 10:15pm

  • Animation improvements for Shadow's shoes.
  • Shrunk the belly skin patch on Sonic's body a bit.
  • Some very slight size and position tweaks for Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, and Sonic's heads.

Update: 1 Jul, 2023 @ 12:11am

  • Removed the knee pads from the Shins section and instead added new two-in-one knee and elbow pad options in the Forearms section.

  • Removed the Tails from the Torso Gear and Thighs sections, since now that the knee pads are no longer in the Shins section the Tails have an entire part category to themselves, no more need for cross-categorizing.

  • Suffix'd an ending _M (to designate they're for males) to the regular elbow pads' template names to be consistent with the new joint pad entries. You'll need to re-assign those if any of your soldiers were using them.

  • Added a dual Hedgehog Tail & Spines option. You may notice some soldiers missing their spines after this, you'll need to re-assign them.

  • Animation improvements for shoe pair 5, the ankles, and the bare feet.

  • Some weight paint tweaks and fixes for Amy's dress, the backpack, and the satchel bag.

  • Fixed the right bare hand having wonky UVs at the wrist.

  • Fixed the dress berets appearing localized as "shirt berets".
