v4.7

The main changes in this patch are to dash attack, Nair, and aerial Uspecial

Many changes for Uspecial, before it was basically unpunishable as a recovery and extremely reliable for killing after a Uair

My goal isn't to take that away completely but to make his uspecial seem more reasonable by comparison to the rest of the cast

GENERAL CHANGES:
- Changed colors a bit (they're still the same palettes just edited the shades a bit)
- Nair 4th hitbox now sends more horizontally so that it's harder to chain nairs over and over if the opponent DIs away
- Nair's first hit does 1 more damage but the final hit does 3 damage instead of 6 now
- Dair can actually kill now, increased kb scaling from 0.1 to 0.4
- Uspecial(air) has been reworked a bit to be a bit faster but doesn't go nearly as far as before
- Uspecial(air) fireball now has horizontal travelling (2 hsp)
- Uspecial(air) should now fully connect if you land the move no matter what positioning
- Uspecial(air) now has hitpause scaling on the projectile and more hitpause scaling in general
- Uspecial(air) KB angle changed from 85 to 75
- Uspecial(air) sprites replaced (still need to add a new fire ball sprite)

BUFFS:
- sped up Nair so that Nair's final hitbox comes out 4 frames sooner (will come out on a short hop)
- Uspecial(air) increased KB scaling from 0.4 to 0.6
- Dattack endlag reduced a little bit
- Dattack horizontal hitbox size increased so it's harder to fall out of the attack midway through
- Dattack Should now fully connect more reliably

NERFS:
- Uspecial(air) has more start up (from 6 to 9 frames)
- Uspecial(air) projectile no longer travels through walls
- Uspecial(air) lowered base KB from 9 to 7
- You can't fastfall out of Uspecial(air) anymore
- You can't fastfall out of Fspecial anymore
- X now has much more pratlanding lag (from 3 frames to 16 frames)
- X pratfall acceleration lowered from 0.85 to 0.45

very quick, small update
No balance changes this update, this is purely new sprites, colors, and sounds

I had to change the purple part of X's chestplate to cyan for better color palettes srry :(
Would like to hear some thoughts on the new palettes

Also im gonna confirm here that X will have an ultimate armor install, still deciding how it should be activated.
I was thinking making it activate on landing buster hammer under certain conditions, or one of the conditions kamui recommended

General Changes:
- Replaced most alt colors with newer palettes
- Colors labelled (CM) and (Z) now have an alternate idle sprite to demonstrate what these outfits will look like
- New Airdodge animation
- New Dspecial sprite
- X now has Big hurt, Up hurt, Down hurt, Bounce hurt, Ground hurt, and Spin hurt sprites
- Changed Crouch animation a bit (head movement)
- Changed Taunt animation (Added Phoenix armor parts to Hydra Armor)
- New sprites for Frost Shield Projectile
- Added new SFX for Frost Shield (fspec) (still needs work)
- Added unique weapon Combo SFX (base X can only combo rising fire into itself by repeating the input)

No major changes this patch, just a small, quick balance patch

GENERAL CHANGES:
- lowered Bair sweetspot hitpause from 300 to 30, it worked normally on opponents but interacting with objects like kragg pillar caused X to be stuck in place for a long time

BUFFS:
- Dattack now sends at a lower angle (from 50 to 45)
- Dattack now has more base KB on the final hit (from 6 to 7)
- bair hitbox 1 kb scaling increased (from 0.3 to 0.8)
- bair hitbox 1 kb angle changed from (130 to 140) (more horizontal)
- bair hitbox 2 kb angle changed from (120 to 130) (more horizontal)
- bair hitbox 3 kb angle changed from (120 to 130) (more horizontal)
- Nair final hitbox damage increased from 4 to 6
- Frost shield's (fspec) trap lifetime doubled from 360 to 720

kinda neutral i guess:
- Fair kb angle changed from 50 to 40 (more horizontal)
- Fair base kb and kb scaling increased from 6 and 0.6 to 7 and 0.7, hopefully its harder to chain them together at higher percents now but it will kill earlier than before

NERFS:
- Fair now has much less range (I compared it's size with other base cast members and it was way bigger and active for longer than most base cast Fairs)
- Fair damage lowered from 9 to 7
- Fair has 4 more frames of landing lag (from 8 to 12)
- Fair has 2 more frames of ending lag (from 14 to 16)
- Dattack no longer has crazy base KB on the first hit (decreased from 10 to 6)
- Frost shield's (fspec) trap is now destroyable again

oh also i added his new hurt sprite

This should (hopefully) be the last of X's major gameplay changes, he's been given a new Nair and Dash attack.
This will probably be the last of X's moveset changes unless a special weapon gets swapped before release, as of now this is what you should expect the released X to play like (besides balance changes if needed).

GENERAL CHANGES:
- New NAIR (charged rolling shield)
- New DATTACK (Tornado fang)
- X buster has a new follow up option (You can now follow up dash with dash attack)
- New sprites for Ftilt, Fair, Bair (still working on it) and Taunt
- i forgor 💀

BUFFS:
- buffed ray splasher damage from 1 per bullet to 2 per bullet

NERFS:
- lowered uair base KB by 1
- lowered uair projectile lifetime from 24 to 20

Besides replacing Fair and Bair, This update is focused mostly on improving X's game feel. He is likely unbalanced at the moment, but for now I'm trying to focus on making him fun to play rather than balance. (That being said I'll do my best to balance him before he's complete)

GENERAL CHANGES:
- New Bair (incomplete, pulling and sweetspot are a WIP)
- New Fair (Magma blade)
- Added more hitpause to a few moves
- Rising Fire (ground) now sends at a 90 degree angle
- Rising Fire (ground) can now be canceled into itself for a stronger rising fire

BUFFS:
- Utilt start up sped up by 2 frames
- Dair start up sped up by a few frames i forgot how many but its faster now
- Ftilt KB increased a bit
- Fstrong now has super armor while it's active and a few frames before the first hitbox comes out
- Frost shield (fspec)'s floor spike can no longer be destroyed by enemy hitboxes

NERFS:
- Uair projectiles now have much less lifetime
- Dair has alot more recovery frames (this is so you can't chain dair over and over off stage for a free kill)
- Maximum charge shot is no longer plasma safe

Another small update

The main purpose of this is to get feedback from the google doc

Changes:

- New Nair, can be attack canceled after the third kick
- reverted Fair to old patch Fair, probably just a temporary change since this Fair seems awkward to use
- Added more hitpause to many moves
- Changed utilt hitbox
- Changed uspecial kb angle to go more upwards
- Frost shield (fspec) now bounces straight up and has alot of hitpause
- maybe more i forgot

v4.5

A smaller update code and gameplay wise, most of this update was just creating adding the new sprites
I'll adjust boomerang cutter and ground hunter when I think of ways to improve them

GENERAL CHANGES:
- Replaced most of X's sprites with his new look (A few animations aren't done yet)
- Reshaded portrait and new colors
- Adjusted air movement speed to be a bit faster
- Adjusted Fair hitboxes
- Removed Command Mission sprites (will be added back at a later date)
- Adjusted Utilt, sends at a higher angle and hitboxes now more accurately represent the attack
- Uspecial (Air) shouldn't send opponents downwards anymore for the last 2 hits
- Removed code that causes Uair to bug (will be added back when fixed, this is just because uair is too broken for playing with other people)
- Changed Fstrong hit sound

BUFFS:
- X now regains special weapon energy when he dies
- Added a little more hitstun to Green charged shot
- Speed burner can be used one more time before ammo runs out
- Ray Splasher now has IASA after the first 3 bullets
- Ray Splasher now has faster start up

NERFS:
- Lowered damage on buster shots and hammer buster
- Lowered KB and KB scaling on Fair
- Dair has 4 more frames of start lag and end lag
- Speed burner angle adjusted to 60 so it no longer kills as early

- Added new Fstrong
- Gave more moves extra hitpause and hitpause scaling
- Nerfed Dair a bit, should hopefully be harder to chain dairs repeatedly now
- All aerials have extra landing lag now
- Changed hitboxes on Fair, Fair is also a bit stronger now
