1.0.7 Changelog – 2/12/2025

• Oops! I overlooked the stuffed mushroom food item when doing the description shortening mentioned in the 1.0.6 patch. So that has been updated appropriately now too.
• As a totally random and minor additional change, I also made the hot/cold knobs on the dwarf sink furniture object “turn” when it is interacted with between on and off.

1.0.6 Changelog – 2/12/2025

• As requested by znp4nemmcrmccbrsndpn, the cave crab habitat has had it’s spawn cooldown reduced from 5-10 minutes, to 2-3 minutes. Additionally, the wiring input node on that object has been removed, as it served no function anyway.
• The flavor text descriptions on many dwarf food items has been shortened. This is because most were too long, causing overlap with the tooltip indicating a food's freshness level and thus making everything harder to read.

1.0.5 Changelog – 6/01/2024

• I somehow never noticed that the beards from Jotunbane’s mod that he kindly let me use (i.e. the 10 bigger male beards that also include a mustache) are offset by 1 pixel, so that the player’s mouth is overlapped. This messed with a lot of emotes displaying properly, thus I decided to fix it. Though in retrospect it may have been an intentional choice on his part, as it does make the player’s face look smaller and more condensed. So IDK, if people hate it I can always switch it back lol.
• As inspired by zarby$, I’ve added 6 blue and 6 green stim packs to the dwarf ship’s starting locker to help offset the dwarf racial jump and speed penalties in the early game. These boosts should help player’s navigate the tech quests from Elliott at the Outpost, after which they shouldn’t experience any more mobility issues once multi-jump and dash techs are unlocked.
• I redid the tech console interface to reflect dwarf character’s reduced height, and the male version even displays a beard!
• Did a minor recoloring of the “dwarfancestralchair” as it was one of the earliest pieces of furniture I made, and honestly looked pretty terrible because I decided to outline the whole thing in pure black. It still is one of the uglier furniture pieces lol, but having a color-appropriate outline should tone back the hideousness a notch or 2.
• The playable VR headset (vraviandesert) that spawns in the recreational/bar area of any tier 3+ dwarf player ships, now has the player “sit” in it when playing. The animation will look the same as when the player interacts with any of the non-playable VR headsets in the same room. It uses the same code as the captain’s chair (i.e. how it brings up the universe/star system travel interface any time you sit in the chair), which was where the idea for this change came from.

1.0.4 Changelog – 4/08/2024

• Apparently I had never actually changed the default Skittles Template racial description in the dwarf.species file. So rather than reading "Welcome to Skittles' Test Mod.", it now says displays as "Play as a stone-skinned, cyberpunk space dwarf! Dwelling in vast, subterranean metropolises on their rocky homeworld of Nyrdahl, their race has been slowly expanding among the stars and colonizing new worlds in search of mineral wealth."
• Fixed a series of errors related to the audio discs used in the “Dwarf Music Player”, where the recipe items to learn how to craft said discs didn’t have an item file (i.e. “Could not instantiate item '[clubbeats1-recipe, 1, {}]'. (ItemException) No such item 'clubbeats1-recipe'”). While on my end at least the recipes were still being produced correctly, I opted to fix this for the sake of quality and thoroughness. So hopefully this will no longer flood people’s crash logs with errors unnecessarily, or scare anyone away from using the mod!

1.0.3 Changelog – 2/20/2024

• Changed the dwarf pet’s sleeping animation, moving the holograms body to the bottom of the frame. As such, he shouldn’t be blatantly floating in midair while asleep anymore.
• Fixed an assortment of minor errors and discrepancies.
• Fixed some recipe errors, namely that all Tier 6 weapons required the nonexistent “godsteel” material, making them completely uncraftable (and thus they could only be obtained via spawn command). But it has now been updated to the correct “dwarfgodsteel” material, and can now be crafted properly.
• Shortened the floating head hologram quest giver’s name from “Runelord Etalbyn” to “Lord Etalbyn”, as the name was too long and thus getting cut off in the dialogue.

• Fixed a previously overlooked discrepancy where the recipe for the dwarf racial crafting station existed, but dwarf players were not granted access to said recipe. It can now be crafted at the Inventor’s Table for 500 pixels.

1.0.1 Changelog - 11/7/2023

• Added dwarf examine dialogue for all current dwarf furniture objects, and fixed the vanilla race examine dialogue for dwarf furniture items that didn’t make any sense.

• Added a 4th test drug dispenser furniture object [dwarfdrugtrial4], that spits out healing pill projectiles that function exactly the same as the ones produced by the "Qwikmend IR, 350 MCG" pill bottle item that can be purchased from the Cybertech Medical Kiosk.

• Fixed the price on the Consortium Emporium furniture object for sale at Infinity Express in the Outpost, so it now costs the intended 1000 pixels instead of 5000 pixels. Also updated the inventory icon to display a beacon/transponder rather than the default question mark.

• Added some additional details to the visual elements of the Armory Locker(s) [dwarfarmorylocker/dwarfarmorylockers], Vertical/Horizontal Locker (dwarflocker1/dwarflocker2) and Fridge [dwarffridge], to make them a bit more interesting than the blatant recoloring of vanilla items that they originally were.
• Changed the light color of the “Dwarf Neon Light” to the same shade of turquoise used by most dwarf tech items.

• Changed “Dwarf Cryo Pod” to a tier 6 bed, up from tier 4.

• Changed “Dwarf Ship Cryo Pod” to a tier 3 bed, up from tier 2.

• Changed the names of a handful of furniture items, to better reflect what the objects actually are.

• Fixed the Dwarf Flag spawn code to be in line with the naming convention used for 99% of the rest of the mod. So it is now “dwarfflag” instead of “flagdwarf”.
