- Polished the particle animation for the teleport gate in the graveyard and reduced the particle load by 10%.
- Added a ground layer of smoke for the meteor impact FX.
- The smoke for the Meteor Impact FX now appears darker.
- Added indicators to the meteorite field that lead to the also affected boards in the area.

Update v2.5 Patch Notes

Some changes were first created/implemented for Snowhaven / Snowhaven (X-mas edition).

Bug Fixes:

- Fixed the gap when exiting the elevator. No longer causes a visual error when crossing the edge.
- The Elder Tree board now correctly heals the player activating the effect for 10 HP instead of 20 HP.
- Fixed an issue where the lightning flash was not visible.
- Recreated the lightning sprite texture and animation for proper functionality.


Performance Optimizations:

- Numerous optimizations have been implemented to improve performance across the map.


Gameplay Changes:

Lightning Board Redesign:

- The board now charges with each lightning strike, dealing increasing damage:
Starts at 10 damage, builds up to 30 damage, then resets back to 10.
- Added an indicator to show the current charge level.
- Added a special particle animation when the board reaches charge level 3.
- The lightning bolt now has:
* A unique sound effect ("broken rock") on the third strike.
* A complementary unique FX effect ("broken rock") on the third strike.
- The lightning bolt now damages players standing on the board.

Layout Adjustments:

- The Priest has been moved to the longer lane since the shorter lane already offers faster traversal.
- The Recruit boards have been moved to the inner lane.

Shop Update:

- Removed: Health potion option.
- Added: Teleportation options for:
* Cave Entrance (inside the cave)
* Lightning Board
* Poison Board
- A new teleport animation has been created for the shop teleportation.

Kings Arsenal:

- Added a delay between claiming superweapons to make them more distinct and recognizable.


Visual and Sound Improvements:

Teleportation:

- Updated the FX for teleport animations.
- Added a new teleport sound effect to complement the new visuals.

Hell Pit Board:

- Now uses a custom-created FX instead of the premade explosion effect.
- Added a new sound effect to match the updated FX.

Particle System:

- The teleport gate particle system has been redesigned, reducing particle usage by ~65%.
- Smoke effects from teleporters within the structures now appear more detailed.

Dynamic Sound Spawning:

- Raven sounds now alternate between three variations instead of repeating a single sound.
- Several sounds have been better synchronized with their respective animations.

Environmental Changes:

- Added a new material for rocks blocking the cave path, blending them more naturally with the environment.
- The outer layers of the map no longer have collision. Happy falling!

Item Pick-Up Sound:

- The "item pick-up" sound now plays:
* When acquiring a superweapon from the Superweapon Board.
* When acquiring a weapon from the King’s Armory Board.


Testing and Experiments:

- Changed how audio sources are played back.
- Testing dynamic sound spawning for varied and improved audio effects.
